I jumped to the last page of this thread thinking that each post contained the ending and the movie it went to, and assumed that some running gag had started running where wildly inappropriate endings were attached to various films.

    Reality is disappointing.

Homer manages to send the bomb away from Springfield, and it blows up Shelbyville. Meanwhile, Springfield is still under a glass dome. So everyone remains angry at the Simpsons, making them even bigger outcasts. The Simpsons end up going to an abandoned part of Springfield, naming it Simpson Town, and resuming their lives. Lisa has some brilliant ideas for renovating the town, writing it down into a Simpson Town charter. Marge convinces the family to put Lisa's plan into action, and they all get to work cleaning Simpson Town up. Bart and Homer do their part because they turn the work into a new sport, utilizing the old scrap and an old rusty backhoe. They keep playing the game even after Simpson Town is cleaned up, playing in a parking lot that has been painted with goal lines. The people of Springfield see the new game, and how clean Simpson Town is and try to convince the Simpsons to let them move into the town and join into the game. Lisa tells the Springfieldians there is not enough room for all of them in Simpson Town, so Homer makes a deal with Mayor Quimby to rename Springfield Simpson Town, and put Lisa's Simpson Town charter into effect for all of the former Springfield. A remix by Bart of a news report by Kent Brockman on the new Simpson Town sport goes viral on YouTube, and the resulting worldwide press leads to the dome being removed. The viral video beats Psy's record, leading him to make a song about Simpson Town. Psy's Springfield Town video becomes the first to reach a trillion hits on YouTube, and because of the notoriety, the state elects to make Simpson Town it's new capital city.

Weeeeak. How about this instead: Turns out the tribble was only sleeping instead of being dead. Khan's "regenerative" cells don't actually work, and Kirk is still dead. Spock, while in mourning, undergoes the Ponn Farr, but can only mate with a Vulcan female. He leaves Starfleet to return to New Vulcan, unable to deal with the loss of his one real friend. With no one else in line, Hikaru Sulu is promoted to Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise and sets out on a 5 year mission of deep space exploration, boldly going where no one has gone before.
