Haven't found it on any store shelves yet. The only place I've seen it online is Gamestop.com and it says that it's backordered.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the PC version? My gamestops(within a 200 mile radius - Florida) say all they have is Xbox 360 and Ps2?

    The PC version?!
  • edited September 2007
I went to both Targets by me and neither one had it. They had the label with the price and room for it on the shelve, but no copies in stock yet. Tried Gamestop, Circuit City, and Best Buy as well and as I previously stated it's nowhere to be found online except GS which is backordered. Oh well, I'll look again in a couple weeks or so.

Don't forget to try WalMart. I usually see CSI games there. :) (although I haven't been there since the new CSI was released)

www.futureshop.ca has it listed as being released on Sep 27th.

For those who missed it, Ubisoft attached a "Case 3 trailer" to their press release. It was an outrageously slow download for me, but if you're still waiting for the game you should check it out.

I got mine at Target(Thanks Suprrr) I called and when they said they had it they also said they just got their shipment(around 4pmEST) So maybe if you give them a call back they will be done "unloading and stocking"? Good luck
  • edited September 2007
Also, PLEASE don't call random people at our office because you can't find it in stores. Nobody here can make your local retailer stock it any faster, and it just eats up our time. I would hope this would be obvious, but some people have apparently been doing it :(

yeah i got my copy yesterday evening, fun game.... i sill dont know if it was worth the 6 months extra wait though

anyways, there have been many improvments... from mini games, to hard to find colleactables that unlock bonus items.... and even a
poker game, where you have to beat the dealer

even the tutorial is humorus.... you need to find grissoms missing jelly doughnut...

overall i like it, fun game... cool stories... and a nice addition to the series

i will also note that you can view all 5 trailers as part of the unlockable bonus features.... a nice thing to have since ubisoft only released 3 of them.... oh, and you unlock the next cases trailer by completing a case.... so you can watch the trailer than play the case, anyways... i would avoid the case 5 one untill after you are done with the case, its kinda spoilery (a job well done on that one ubisoft )

P.S. i am an amimal at these kinds of games, and just because i blew through it in one evening, does not mean you will as well.... this game will provide 5 nights of good gaming and puzle solving to the average gamer (one case a night, taking 2-3 hours per case)

Well... Ubisoft have had their ditch! it says a demo will be released 2 months BEFORE release. That's probally the most annoying thing for me. HELP ME!!!!!

We're glad you liked it DZ! We've all been eager to hear your initial reaction since you've been waiting so long! And sorry about that extra 6 months, bet there were a lot of good reasons for that. Of course there are the new mini games, User interface and Lab enhancements, plus we thought it would be smart to release the game at around the same time as the start of the new season. (By the way, did you see the season premier? What did ya think?). Also, a lot of that time was spent just getting the game to run on the consoles! It takes a lot of work and our programmers put in plenty of overtime on it! In the end we want everyone to get to enjoy this game as much as you did and we try our best to get it to everyone at the about same time. :D

ill note 2 bugs that kinda bugged me.... the first is how the resolution buttons in the options menu are switched.... clicking the plus decreases the relolution, and clicking the minus makes it higher

and in case 5.... during all the interrogation room scenes.... grissom is cross eyed... (its funny at first, Then annoying) ill get a pic, give me a few minutes here

EDIT: here is a quick pic of the bug (it is even worse on some other lines... this is a mild one) 1zya2he.jpg

    Hey DZ -

Congrats on finishing! Glad the wait is over for you, and that you liked the game.

I just checked this, and don't see the resolution bug. The + button is on the right side, and properly increases the resolution. The - button is on the left, and decreases the resolution. Is the + button on the right or left for you?
  • edited September 2007
its on the right side... but it does not increase the resolution, it decreases it

EDIT: now that i think about it... it may be caused by a slight incompatibility with my video card, i am running a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M integrated laptop graphics card, if the game uses your hardware and windows resolution settings (instead of its own) this could be the cause of the mix up in controls

as for the cross eyed grissom.... it was the only graphics bug i saw, apart from a few clipping errors with some textures, here and there... but nothing overtly major, job well done on that one guys

i also have to note on the cool way case 4 was introduced.... with following the trail of evidence up the steps, down the hall, and to the bedroom.... creepy, ill give you props for that one... oh, and the fact that you guys completely modeled and rendered an enite cul-de-sac full of houses, just for one aerial shot.... insane, and i bet i am the only person who noticed it, and realised the time that went into that

the 3D crime scene kit, and all the cutscenes, and phone calls were a nice touch as well (i also enjoyied the interrogation room shortcuts... clicking on brass to change the person you are talking to without loading the location again, and the fact you listed the interrogation room as a regularly accessable CSI location was a good idea as well

some of the locations in this game are truely massive, and the scenery and background stuff in some of the locations is cool as well.... i also caught the sam and max downloader icons and the CSI:3 icons that kept popping up on the desktops of so many computers in the game ;) and the mega huge ultimate unlockable, for getting perfect on all 5 cases.... reminds me of another telltale games classic....

Where is the game ? The Ubisoft and Telltale stores as well as that of CBS do not have it.
  • edited September 2007
I suggest going to Target. That's where I bought my copy based on everyone's success in finding it there. Telltale didn't put 3 Dimensions of Murder on their site for awhile, I don't know why Ubisoft isn't selling it yet, and Amazon still isn't shipping, at least not the PC version. A brick and mortar store seems to be the quickest way to get this game at the moment.

i got mine at gamestop, on thrusday....

we need another blog with a list of sightings

i have seen the game at target, gamestop, EB games, and walmart so far... and sorry, my camera phone is a peice of junk... otherwise i would have gotten the "required" thumbs up shots of the game on the shelves

I emailed Ubisoft yesterday about a few errors on their CSI website, including that thing about the demo. :o I think they are planning to release a demo, but it definitely wasn't released two months ago!

We are hoping to add the game to our online store soon, but it takes a little longer than putting one of our self-published games in because we have to order them from Ubisoft and then ship them to our warehouse. It might be a few weeks before everything's in place, so if you're dying to get your hands on it before then, try one of the stores Dangerzone mentioned. Best Buy has it too.

since it seems that telltale is still under lock and key from ubisoft.... i will be nice and post a cool shot (adding to the hype) of the moble lab in this game.... its a chrysler town and country minivan.... no more gmc envoy, oh well.... it sure is one pimp ride :D

one note about the moble lab....
sadly this is one of the few times you see the moble lab.... its in case one, and case 5.... small detail

you also only see the garage lab a few times as well, they could have made much more use of both the garage, and the moble labs.... anyway, the garage is only in 2 of the cases... and both the moble lab, and the garage lab also make a brief cameo in the tutorial (actually the moble lab is parked in the garage... two birds, one stone) but the garage is a permanent location you can always visit once you have a car to process... unlike the moble lab, which is still a "one time only" deal in both cases it is used

P.S. ill make this shot into a nice wallpaper (in a few different resolutions) tonight when i am sitting around with nothing to do (i am going to add the csi: hard evidence, telltale, and ubisoft logos along with the somewhat required "copyright, TellTale Games 2007" tag at the bottom

i am just going to use website logo grabs... but if a telltaleist has a prefrance for which logos they want on it, ill use those instead...

EDIT: i just threw the logos from the ubi site in real quick.... wallpaper is under the original version

Just finished this game also. I don't watch the actual CSI series on tv, so I can only go by what ive actually played through the game (e.g totally don't get this bug collecting thing, but im assuming the lead guy has some kinda fetish for collecting them, how much this would influence you to collect bugs for him going on your day to day buissness I don't know :P)

I really enjoyed this and the ones before, my only gripes if I had to find one would be firstly the graphics. Yep, its not an important feature for these types of games, however seeing the same flat hair over and over again when your talking to people totally puts me off, though I can understand somewhat as this would increase the gore factor when discovering bodys etc so I would imagine this would push the rating of the game up.
Also I woulden't of mind seeing some kind of ending, rather than just a dump back to the level select screen like previous versions, even a credits roll woulden't of gone amiss, albeit avalible from the main menu (yeah yeah im picky :p)
Oh, and more personal interaction with the main characters such as banter etc.

Anyways, great game guys, keep up the good work :)

Edit: assuming there was some kind of VISA sponsership in this game? <grin>

Just wondering, what are the differences between the PC and the Xbox 360 version (is there better quality textures on the 360 version)?
I'm a bit torn between playing it on my PC (while it's quite outdated I doubt I'll have any problems with the game, at least judging from the previous games) or lazily in bed on the 360 + HD TV... :D
  • edited October 2007
The texture quality is the same. The graphics actually look slightly better on an HDTV with the Xbox 360, and the big bonus for the Xbox 360 is getting to play on a much bigger screen than most PC monitors!!

The PC is good if you like using the mouse, and if you want extra-snappy load times.

I tested the game a lot on the 360 and I was very impressed with how it feels sitting on the comfy couch.
