People became lame and stopped playing :(

Portal was brilliant, but I don't play FPS's. With that one exception. Because it was really an FPP.
  • edited February 2008
I'd play if there was playing to be had :(
  • edited February 2008
I played a bit last night. Finally got it downloaded in boot camp :)

Are you on a Mac Pro? Or a macbook (pro)?

I would pick up a copy and play as well, if we get a group going.

Cool! I'm still waiting for mine. Ordered the 8800GT as well, and it should arrive next Tuesday :D

I still need to buy a second HD, which I plan on using for Bootcamp.

    D:
    Dual quad-core?
Does Telltale really pay you that well? :p
  • edited February 2008
No, but I had been saving for months when apple announced the price drop on the dual quad machines :)

Darwinia was freeware? Do you mean shareware? I believe it had a demo, and then you paid to unlock the rest. Darwinia is still available off-Steam, direct from the developer, as is Defcon, their newest game.

That said, with the Steam versions, if you ever get a new PC you can just log into Steam and re-download full authorized versions with one click. That's pretty hardcore.

Actually, it isn't shareware either. It is simply a full game that one can download a demo (which is an entirely new level in itself) for. Calling Darwinia shareware would be like calling the new S&Ms shareware because they have demos! :p

I'm available to play TF2. In fact, I could be the medic! Bonesawing people is fun.

Demos are shareware! Welcome to the 90s ;)
  • edited March 2008
Yeah there's no much differentiating shareware from a demo except I guess shareware was propagated by people giving their friends a copy since downloading stuff from the internet took forever. Now a lot of demos are huge and too big for even a CD, plus it's easier to say "go download the demo" instead of "I will burn you a copy of the demo!". Also 'demo' is a shorter word and sounds cooler than 'shareware'. Shareware sounds more friendly though.

Well, my SteamID is 'Mack Daddy' (imagine that) and since I live here in California I usually play on west coast servers preferably with a ping of 50 or less. Telltale does (or did) have a TF2 server a few months back as I recall but I never saw anybody on it.

I'm a member of the Telltale group on the Steam Community so you can look me up if you want or if you find me online playing sometime just say "Hi!".
  • edited March 2008
Yeah nobody ever used our server so I stole its network port for my setup bench :)
  • edited March 2008
I occasionally play the PC version. Steam ID Dedlok. Feel free to shoot me an invite but play may die down for a bit due to a certain game coming out sunday. BD

On Steam I'm known as James Bondage. It's, eh, a funny name but I've had it since I played Duke Nukem 3D over the school network (yes, that wasn't allowed) with friends. :P

I'm Veovis (Yes, the one who committed genocide against the D'ni race), and I'm ready to play whenever. I'm in the Group Chat sometimes, but only one person has ever come in to chat.

    Most definitely PC.
  • edited June 2009
I own both the PC and XBOX 360 version of Left for Dead as well as the Orange Box for both PC and XBOX 360 which includes Team Fortress 2.

I missed the last sale during the free trial so I'm going to have to wait again.
  • edited June 2009
I personally think TF Classic is better. Both are a ton of fun though...

EDIT: Now Killing Floor....THERE'S a game...
  • edited June 2009
You guys should definitely go for it, I would love to crit rocket all of you in the face. Just curious, how many player slots are you going for, and where are you planning to get your server? By the way my Steam ID is Quackingstick [CP], if anyone here would like to add me.

If you really want to play a cross-platform match, get Shadowrun.

Does that site really exist? It won't show up in my browser.

It's the address of our server. You should be able to connect to it in TF2 (if it's running right now). Also, join this Steam group!

Thanks a bunch, I just joined. By the way, I know I'm sounding noobish, but I don't know how to connect to servers using an adress or an IP. Could some one show me how?
EDIT: Found it out, no need to tell me.
