I almost thought Ben was gonna be one of those cases where he dies and there's nothing you can do. What Ben did with the bandits was stupid but i don't hold it against him.

I save him because Clementine forgave him. Simple as that.

    This.

Ok to some degree, we could be hypocrites. But aren't we as human beings allowed to make a mistake to begin with, realize our mistake, and forgive and give compassion to someone when circumstances change based on new evidence? Wouldn't it be worse to hold a grudge against Ben just so I'm not made a hypocrite?

My thoughts exactly and very eloquently put. It's nice to know that there are large number of people with the capacity to do good rather than what is pragmatic.

    Define 'Traitor'.

    Noun:
A person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc.

I'd like to add on that by Betrayal, they mean for purely malicious reasons. Ben probably saved their LIVES by making deals with bandits in exchange for keeping them safe. Otherwise, well, let's just say, there probably wouldn't have been an Episode 3, or 4, or 5. At least not with the same cast, cause they'd be, kinda, you know, like.. Dead?

Sometimes you only have what actually happened to base your decisions upon. Ben was asked if he was the one giving supplies to the bandits and he said no.

Later, after a few deaths have occured, he then admits he was in fact the one giving supplies to the bandits. When a person tells lies that makes them a liar. So he is the traitor and everything else is the testimony of a liar. He said he did it to save his friend, he later said he did it to save the group. Which lie do I go with? Not that it matters when dealing with a lying traitor.

He's also a coward. He left Clementine to die with those walkers in order to save his own ass. He may not have been malicious in his intent, but how many group members do you let him kill before you decide that enough is enough?
