It's hard to be nice to a guy who's a complete asshole to you because you didn't have his back one time.
*cough* the Larry incident *cough*
Larry was a dick. Theres no way of looking at it differently, he was a dick.
He was mean, a bully, threatened you, he punched you for gods sake.
If Kenny didn't do what he did in that locker the Larry Walker would have killed everyone.
I helped Kenny by holding Lilly back, and I don't regret it.
Kenny is the most loyal friend you can have, its evident from the fact he has survived up to episode 5. If you give him the time, he can save your ass so much and be a good friend to clem.

Yes, there is a way of looking at it differently. He was a guy trying to protect his daughter in a fucked up world because she's the only thing he has left, and he punched you because he knew you were a murderer, he probably thought Lee was a threat to Lilly.
And the meat locker thing, you can't say for sure that Larry was dead, that scene was very ambiguous... there was no right or wrong there. But the first time I watched someone help Kenny and hold Lilly back... wow, that was an awful scene. Felt so damn sorry for Lilly, I'm glad I helped her.
And that last point is arguable as well. Carley/Doug are the most loyal friends Lee has for a while, but yeah, if you're nice enough to Kenny, after Lilly shoots either of them, he CAN be the most loyal friend. Doesn't mean he actually IS. On my playthrough he doesn't like Lee, and frankly, I don't give a shit.
The way you see Kenny just varies from player to player and how you play Lee, really. I, for one, find it very difficult to agree with Kenny. But that doesn't hold true for you, and many other people there, which is one of the things that make the game so cool.

Yep this sure does make the game awesome.
Well since Episode 1 Kenny has been Lee's best friend in my game, even more so then Carley or Doug (In my case it was Carley).
Lilly will probably come back, but Carley's gone.Heck, even Lee is bitten!
But it's true I was trying to balance between Kenny and Lilly and that made Kenny hostile to me.But now that I know he can be your best friend I might play it differently the second time I play it.
Comments
Never grab his hand ever.
It is safer to fight off every single geek in savannah than it is to trust Kenny
