How could you do this to me!?

Not even Kirkman would do that to Rick, how could you?
So devastated...

I wish Kirkman would do that to Rick. It's pretty much the only way the comic could stay interesting at this point (bar revealing the origin of the outbreak or having things actually get better, neither of which it seems he'll ever do).

That's the benefit of having an original cast to work with. To be honest, I'd be upset if you-know-what didn't happen.

Grew really pissed that this happened to Lee and not Rick. Kirkman loves both Rick and Carl. The only way that Kirkman can make me come back to the comics is to kill off Rick or do something of the sort.

Kirkman's made it pretty clear that he plans to do it (or worse) to Rick at some point.

ttg have effectivily retconned the game for season 2 if they kill lee.

clem would still need a protector.

Rick is going to die he has a 300 issue lifespan
  • edited October 2012
Rick is probably going to die too ya know. The only difference is that he'll make it for about 300 issues, while Lee only gets 5 episodes.
  • edited October 2012
Kirkman said the comics will have a 300 issue lifespan, but he stated that he plans to kill Rick off unless something happens and thinks that Carl can easily continue the comics.

So pretty much Rick and Lee are both dead men walking :D

Translation: Rick gets a 300 episode life span while Lee gets 5

Yeah, but Lee got color, movement and sound, and if you counted each animated frame, it might be comparable to 300 issues.

I'm completely up for a new cast in season 2.

*Insert rant because I only like happy endings.*

Which is probably equal to about 40 comics... if you count each episode as an arc.

Kirkman would do anything he pleases to his characters, and definitely even more so than Telltale. Haven't seen any rape or torture in Telltale's game yet...

I am convinced that Kirkman would also kill off Rick, rather today than tomorrow! Yet although he says he would do it, I am also convinced that he won't. Readers are looking for endings before they close their books, and a narrative 'caesura' like Rick's death would motivate too many readers to leave the comic series behind.

Kirkman doesn't kill Rick because it would end his series (regardless of whether more TWD comics follow afterward), and he doesn't want to do that. Telltale, on the contrary, NEEDS to end their series. Not necessarily with the death of the main character, but definitely with something different than "next year on the Walking Dead".

Happy endings sucks, but I wish we had more chances to like, stop Lee from getting bit. Like seriously, I was going to check these boxes or whatever first, but I still got bitten, like what the hell? My Lee wasn't that dumb throughout all episodes, so why did he get bit like this? There was no choice at all, only a diffrent animation.

That's the crux with a game that tries to purposefully get rid of all instant gratification mechanisms: You just can't get no satisfaction! :D

feels like a cop out that lee got bit in such a way that anyone except ben would check the area fully before picking up the walkie.

seriously no sign of anyone, yet the walkie and clems hat just happens to be laying there ? next to some suspicious boxes.

the writings being spot on till that point, lee on the whole has been carefull, ok so he slipped a bit with clem in ep3 at the train station, but still.

Milo just came back and he got banned again? XD

Anyhoo, if Kirkman does kill Rick, I can't wait to read them Letter Hacks :D

the boxes where the radio was set by in the end of 4 was there when we got to the house, i bet the zombie in there was like on the show this year the lurker that got ******** on his second pass of him. Not all move around...some sit and wait (lurk) and thats why getting bit seemed more than reasonable to me. Shit happens as Rick Grimes once said (recently:p)

between someone fighting with a kid (assuming clem wasnt still asleep and a loud ass walky talky dont you thing that walker would have at least moved a little bit to at least attack clem and walky talky guy? or do "bad guys" not have to worry about zombies?
  • edited October 2012
back again viner you can rest easy ;)

it's possible the walker was merely subdued enough for clems abductor to escape it.

Could you imagine if we have to play as "the new guardian cheer up man" that ends up being the Radio Guy?

I'm pretty sure you can check the boxes first. At least that's what I did. And the zombie sort of flies at Lee out of them while moving the board.

yeah but whats the point ? lee gets bit either way..

i didn't move them i just walked very slowly lol (didn't see hotspots)

so imo it's stupid cop out situation.

    be carefull get bit

be in a rush get bit

    go ninja style get bit.

why not have lee get bit in a frenzy attack of a few zombies which is more likely to happen. thats still gonna be shock to the player, considering how many times lee is surrounded and walks away with out a scratch..

it imo is the writers way of portraying the stupid silly shit always gets you..

but thats really annoying to play through cos it goes against common sense.

then again other media does the exact same thing..
