Someone is rather defensive about Kenny. Anyways. You mean to tell me you would not be somewhat afraid of Kenny at all after bashing someone's head in out of shear paranoia when Larry could possibly still could have been saved?

Yet you'd quickly think Lily is someone to fear. They both are. Kenny killed her only family member not to mention her father.

Well I don't think it'd matter what I say. You'd think Kenny is a saint. You even have an avatar of him.

Kenny said out loud that he was going to kill him and had a reason alos
Lilly just shot by mistake/on purpose on Doug/Carley, she didn't even mention she was going to do it

That still makes it ok that Kenny announced he was going to murder Larry? Gee I had no idea.

If I was Lee I'd be making sure Kenny walks ahead of me and that I don't mention feeling unwell.

I let her back on the RV after shooting Carley because nobody was thinking rationally at the time and, even though what Lilly did was terrible and I hated her for it, I just don't have the heart to abandon anyone.

I let her back in because she was clearly broken and obviously knew she'd made a mistake. Had she pulled a Kenny and tried to justify a despicable action, I would have left her.

I left her as I won't tolerate having any threats to the group around if I'm not forced to and if she'd kill Carley in cold blood then I can no longer be certain that she won't do the same to Kenny down the road. And, yeah, I was mad that she killed Carley as well. Since Doug's death scene is a bit different I might've chosen differently if I saved him in the first episode but I really doubt it.

Kenny had his reasons and I can sort of understand why he did what he did. I chose to try to save Larry.. we didn't know if he was dead yet, and that was my only reasoning for doing so, so when that saltlick came flying down I was both pissed off and shocked at what had just happened and I felt awful for Lilly. Kenny just DID NOT have to do that, but as I said, I can understand why he did it. If that makes sense, lol...

It doesn't make it ok but at least that wasn't a really big surprise.
in the Carley/Doug situation was really unexpected.
Doug rest in peace, he died like a hero. ROLF
Carley rest in peace, she died like something
Larry who cares you died like a Jackass with shit out your ass

It wasn't a big surprise? About 90% of the people who played this game were shocked when Kenny suddenly bashed his head in. It still was not entirely justified. Lily even said this has happened before when she tried to revive him.

I know Kenny can be a jackass but not 100% of the time

But...but...she DID try to justify it.

That was before anyone knew it was Ben giving the supplies to the bandits though. The paranoia was eating her alive.

Interesting that people would not kill St Johns, who were murdering cannibals, but would abandon Lilly to die because she went crazy and murdered someone. Apparently the St Johns deserve mercy because they premeditate, whereas Lilly deserves to die because she doesn't. Ben also deserves to die because he gets people killed without meaning to.

So ... if you are a murderer, players spare you. If you make mistakes, players kill you.

In TWD, players consider mistakes worse than murder.

I saw the St John thing more as - the fence has failed and their 'idyll' has been exposed. You know what? I'm going to let you die a horrible death, being fed upon by zombies (including your own mother) and let that be poetic justice for you and peace of mind for me. It's one of the few satisfying (yet disturbing when you think about it) outcomes I've experienced so far.

When I kicked Lilly out it was because, in my play-through, she had become too volatile to stay. The group was already dissolving and her trigger finger was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I also did not kill her. She may not come back but I didn't shoot her in the head or allow her to be killed. The decision felt right at the time.

If there had been an option to part company from Kenny after the salt-lick incident, I would have strongly considered doing so. I would have been sad to see Katja (sp?) go, especially after her kind words at the beginning of episode 3, and her death later on really upset me but I understood it more than Kenny murdering Larry in such an over-the-top way.

When I come to play through again, after episode 5 is released and I've completed my first walkthrough, then I might think things through differently.

That's a bit of a huge, and completely wrong, assumption. Each situation has totally different circumstances which have to be taken in to consideration, you can't just compare them like that.

I only killed Danny, I dropped Ben and I left Lilly, and here's the ACTUAL reasons why. Lilly didn't make a mistake, she murdered a member of the group in cold blood on the assumption she was right. She didn't give Ben a fair vote before trying to shoot him, so why should we give her one. Who's to say who else she would have quickly shot if she thought they were in the wrong. She became a threat to the group and that's why I left her. The st johns brother and Ben were in completely different scenarios. I didn't need to kill the second st johns brother, he had nothing left and we were leaving him behind, he was no longer a threat to us, even though he was a psychopath. I feel guilty for dropping Ben, but I shot the walker that attacked him and grabbed him as he fell, he made no effort to climb up and was begging me to leave him. I put the safety of the group first again as I thought walkers may attack them in the time It took to pull Ben up, not to mention the fact he was a huge liability to begin with.

You write your comment like everyone that chose different options to you is in the wrong and should feel ashamed.

You can choose Ben safely. Nothing wrong happens.

I know that now, I didn't at the time, but that's the choice I made and that's the choice I'll play

It's so disappointing. I couldn't bear to kill her Father. When she needed Lee the most in her most desperate moment. He was there putting boot to Kenndy's Butt.

Now Kenndy act's like I'm his worst foe. Treating me completely different. We have an argument in the espoide 3. She shoots Doug in the head and I still have enough compassion to let her back on the RV.

Then she tells Kenndy about my past. I guess that's what I get for bringing doug. I didn't have the option to tell them about my past. But Lilly why would she do this?

I left her to rot. :)

If there had been an option to part company from Kenny after the salt-lick incident, I would have strongly considered doing so.

This is a good point, because sometimes players may seem inconsistent because they are working with the choices the game gives them, which may not be what they want to do.

It sounds like you leave people behind who you consider a threat to the group, but who don't have a vendetta. So, leave Lilly behind because she's too volatile, and leave Kenny because he's a little too fast salt licking people. You also left the St Johns behind, but that situation was different, as you wanted them to die.

Would you have also left Ben behind, maybe after he confessed on the train?
  • edited November 2012
I wanted to murder Ben on the train because it was raw and I was still angry but I had some time to calm down after that. The reason I chose to leave Lilly behind but saved Ben was simple. Lilly willingly pulled the trigger and killed Carley on purpose. She would not sit down and listen to reason. She just let herself get all worked up and didn't think at all before she just shot somebody! I couldn't have a trigger-happy person like that around Clem. But Ben's mistakes were just stupid. Yeah, his idiocy in making a deal with the bandits was stupid, but he was scared and weak. Yeah, he really ticked me the hell off when he didn't help Clem in the street. But leaving Lilly in the street wasn't the same as dropping her into the zombies. At least she had a (very slim) chance to get away. Ben would have just dropped and died with no fighting chance at all which just doesn't sit well with me.
