Will the download work for episode 5?

I hope the downloading process for episode 5 is in working condition unlike what happen last time. So let cross our fingers Telltale Games won't make the same mistake again

This is all very valid to discuss - I just changed the thread title, as "Downloading episode 5" suggested that you are, in fact, right now downloading the episode. I'm trying to keep the "I wanna"-panic to a minimum here.

For those who either got the download working with the automatic patch OR actually went through reinstalling the whole game and found the DL working then (like me), I'm rather certain that the episode 4 mishap will not repeat. I would assume that whatever clogged this system for episodes 2 to 4 has finally been identified and WAS removed.

(I just have experience with the TTG store PC version of the game. Please take that into account)

I sure as hell hope so! you'd think by the end of the season they would have this all ironed out by now

I'm right there with you. I lost my save file that was complete through episode 4. Then I installed the "patch" and played through episode 4 again which sucked because I had to make the same decisions if I wanted to see the end to that story, and now that save file is gone too. I'm not about to start at square one again. This game is ruined for me.

I installed the game as I had formatted the pc recently and then copy pasted my back up files I had before formatting and when I entered the game it showed to episode 5(GET) without any saves. Then I just re-copied the back-up and all the saves were there. The only issue I have now is the same that of episode 4. connection lost :S

There we go again... I tried downloading episode 5 once, and it just didn't start. I relaunched the game and now it tells me I have to download episode 2 and 4 again. What the hell ?
I should've bought this on steam, why didn't I buy this on steam...

For anyone who's having the same downloading problems right now, please redirect your complaints to this thread so support will know how many people are having the issue and work on a permanent fix this time... Tried reinstalling my game, and can't download any episodes (from 2 to 5) right now... Seen this coming though, it's not a big surprise for me.

Note: You can do the Ep. 4 workaround for Ep. 5 and it works!
