If you could save 1 person... no Lee

This is the same thread as here: https://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42289
But this thread has no option for Lee.

There's like three threads that are exactly the same, regardless I choose le Carley.

I have a feeling Kenny and Carley is going to dominate the poll.

And then you have the people with the hard-on for Lilly.

    I personally have a hard-on for Carley and I think she'd be a great babysitter/motha/rolemodel for Clem.

    Ben.

    Obviously.

    Obviously.

Well, yeah... Right after Brie, that is.

Kenny was my bro, but now that both the boat and his family, along with Lee, his best friend, are gone, he doesn't have any reason to live.

So, I'm going with Mark :D

    Duck.

Duck's death was the absolute lowest point for the group as survivors, as the safety and well-being children were always the top priority. Losing Duck was a disaster.

That being said I never would have wanted the writers to scrap that story line. Duck's death was one of the most emotional scenes in all of gaming.

I honestly didn't care all that much when Duck died. I felt bad for Kenny but I wasn't sad or anything, didn't like the kid ever lol. Now the end of EP5 was heartbreaking for me at least, I would call that one of the most emotional scenes in all of gaming.

Same.. and having read plenty of comments and reviews it seemed most people didn't seem to care too much. It's the way they wrote his character. They made him a dumb kid without any personality. Sure, he still has the benefit of being a kid. And yea his whole short batman & robin investigation-scene was cute but it didn't help to make the player feel attached to him.

Yeah the first thread I accidentally didn't add in enough options. The second includes Lee and this one doesn't. Is that too hard to understand?

    Really? Larry? Why?
  • edited December 2012
Larry's big and has a bad heart..... he'd make a great distraction if you needed to outrun a group of walkers....

....or if he died and you decided to go cannibal... I suppose...

Doug mothafudgers, he was mai favorite character.

Carley, Kenny, Mark and Ben are pretty much the characters that needed to live. I voted for Mark.

Kenny. Though we kinda don't know If he's dead or alive.

Cause of all that ass charm and killer one liners.

He's dead. This is the walking dead, and you're in denial. He's gone, get over it.

Mark. Never got the chance to get to know him a little better :D

How is that even a choice? Ben is a little bitch who is responsible for 90% of all deaths in this game. Mark was awesome.

    Duck, of course.

I didn't really like him, but come on, he was just a kid.

the only reason i didn't pick kenny is because i would need 2 more magic resurrection spells
  • edited December 2012
Wouldn't saving Duck also preserve both Katjaa and Kenny?

yeah but i was looking at it as a magic resurrection spell, not a go back to the past and change things spell

I like your list. I voted for Ben because he's just so young to die, but Mark is a close second for me. Very close. Kenny... it's hard to see him wanting to live, but I wished he could've found some reasons. With Carley, she and Lee had so much potential...

Duck's loss was awful, but it did so much for the story... plotwise I wouldn't save him, but of course in a real life situation I'd do everything I could to keep the children alive. He was such a plucky little ray of sunshine, and he and Clem had each other as playmates... it was so sweet for a while there.

It went through her cheek, but an instant death and such? Wtf? I don't think you'll die instantly. It just hit her jaw, some blood vessels (im sure not all major ones) and stuff. Im sure they could patch her up.

I'd place my bet on Carley-- she was a very good character with a good voice and personality. it would be interesting how the rest of the story would be affected if she hadn't ___. + shes a very powerful character, affects lee a lot. I'd say CARLEY should be saved! She should be alive, and maybe raise clem as their own (if we alter the story)

or Mark. Hes a good guy too. 2nd pick.
    3rd pick duck.
    4th is kenny.

    (To another guy)
    Clem doesn't die o.0. She's still alive.

One person? That would be definitely Carley, and if there were a second person, Duck.

    All hail Carley and Lee!
(Screw Lilly, If i was a modder, i would modify ep 3 onwards and add an option to do something to Lilly)

Larry. With him, Lilly wouldn't have turned to a psycho broken down rage-filled emotional mess, and likely would not have snapped and killed Carley. He also could have intervened in the bandit raid in episode 3, potentially shooting/killing/distracting the walker that bit Duck, saving him and Katjaa. Kenny would likely die, because the state the world is in and the situations he and his family get into, he would probably end up sacrificing himself to save them, especially after losing the boat, since they'd be his only focus.

Who knows, maybe saving the violent old man saves the lives of everyone else...

This is the walking dead based on the comic universe. The same universe where
a man can get trapped in a gym with 100% guaranteed no way out with several walkers and slay them all.
As much as anyone wants to believe him dead, that event proves that there is a chance, however slim. Nothing can change that(save an official statement/season 2 explanation).

I'd save the life of Carley. Her death felt so unexpected and false. It was really hard to hear Ben telling you that it was him who took the supplies.
  • edited January 2013
Mark because, although I like Carley/Doug/Duck/Katjaa, I could see him making it through Ep5 or half of it. Carley would have probably died in a heroic way midway through, Doug too, and Katjaa and Duck would have been traumatized by everything.

Just letting you all know there are no free spells here. Saving duck only saves Duck. Saving Larry only saves Larry. No ways to cheat into saving more than one. You fuckers. (I'm just kidding, love you all.)
