I'm hoping we're going to get a PC Disk offer like Back to the Future, Wallace and Grommit, and other seasons of the past, where you can get a disk for the cost of shipping if you already bought the whole season. I'm kind of depending on it, actually, I haven't been able to get through episode 2 due to repeated bugs in the save system, and just gave up and decided I'd wait on a more stable disk release.
A bonus DVD was ALWAYS announced at the beginning of the Season. You knew that you'd be eligible for one before you hit "buy". Chances that one will still turn up for TWD are almost nonexistent, I'm sad to say.
For a while I was hoping they'd have a decent deal on the game here at Telltale, with a disc option (since that's how I own Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Strong Bad, and Wallace & Gromit). But I finally gave up and bought it via Steam last week for $12.50. There's a still a part of me that's frustrated it's not in my Telltale game list (and whatever small chance of getting a DVD sent to me), but honestly, $12.50 was too good a deal to pass up.
Just wanted to add my two cents that they lost money they otherwise would have had from me as well. After hearing nothing about the game on disc, I finally caved in on a steam sale as well at Halloween. They aren't doing a good job at keeping customers here anymore and encouraging pre-orders. Especially after the save game fiascoes with this season compounded with zero incentive to buy directly from Telltale anymore... I doubt I'll ever pre-order from Telltale ever again. I know this is one of the factors (number of pre-orders) they look into with a game too, so it really may come back to bite them. It doesn't come easy saying this either as up until now, Telltale has been my favorite developer.
The problem with the Best Buy is that they refuse to ship their games outside the USA. If I would order retail version from them they would expect that I would take transatlantic flight and pick it from one of their stores, because they refuse to give it to freight forwarders even if I would arrange the shipping myself.
