Well one possibility for a quick reappearance by Carley and Doug could be a flashback. Maybe season two's protagonist was passing through Makon during the early stages of the outbreak and saw Doug save Carley while her asshole news editor was being devoured by walkers.
That sounds reasonable to me.
there's no guarantee that season two starts after the end of season one chronologically. I remember someone had the idea that you would play an unrelated season then at the end it would be you two on the hill when you see a Clem in the distance or something like that.
If they were parallel or even a prequel (how long is Lee knocked out anyway?) then cameo's would be acceptable for a couple of characters not just Carley.
If it does pick up where season 1 its hard to imagine anyone left alive having had enough of a relationship with her to have any flashbacks or dreams though. Clem's the only survivor from the motel group and could maybe have one about Lee, but she wasn't really close enough to anyone else.
I feel like such an ass. I keep reading all of this Carley fandom, but I just don't feel the same way. I mean, yeah, she was a good character, but I saw her more like a good friend, not the second coming of the messiah.
Now I'm tempted to take a screen grab of her dying and superimpose the words "Carley died for our sins." over it.

They wouldn't necessarily have to be significant to the flashback. They could be in the background or otherwise indirectly connected to a moment relevant to the protagonist's memory.
I can think of plenty of ways in which season two's story could not accommodate a Carley/Dough cameo appearance, but the OP's question was: 'Is there any way to put Carley back in season 2?' I think a flashback or parallel timeline are the most plausible ways to make it happen.
I loved Carly! But she’s shot inside the head no way se make an appearance inside season 2! Not living and no walker. But the good news… There are more fishes inside the sea!!!
