    you answered you own question

Q: i dont know why would you build up a character and just kill it?? A: i got so emotional

You want her back as a zombie to be killed again? That's about the only possibility, assuming the bullet missed her brain (which is very unlikely).
  • It's the Walking Dead. Rule number one: don't get attached to the characters.

Its an official challenge now to contrive a way in which nobody actually dies in the entire game.

Carley is dead. It hit me too. Hard, but that's what happens in the walking dead. That scene of you and her bonding about 5 minutes before her death was evil writing.

I hope she is remembered and not completely forgotten, though even more depressing is when you ask who's even left to do that?

But it isn't all that realistic either, she would've bled out by then.

she's DEAD.This character is no more! She has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet her maker!
'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'er to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!

    MOVE ON!!

This is also a rule for every single reality show ever made and Doctor Who.

Death would be meaningless if they just brought characters back because they were popular

Man so many people are STILL butthurt about Carley's death. I'm glad I had Doug my first time to avoid all those feels.

    This. Carley is overrated.

Doug was great, I really liked him. And when he died, I was indeed sad. However, the guy got freakin' shot in the face, he ain't coming back. It's the walking dead guys, so here's some spoilers for season 2 - you're going to meet some awesome characters and will really like them. You will go on wacky adventures with them and watch as their personalities develop over time. You are going to get closer to them and know in your heart that together you're going to be able to ride out this apocolypse. Then they are going to die.

To be far, most recent fans are those from the show and game where they don't really experience this rule. I mean look at Daryl on the show, he's probably the biggest fan favorite so far and he still lives. If the show stays true to its past I can't wait for Daryl's sudden death and the huge uproar that follows it. Like with Carley or Lee but worse.

I wonder if the t.v. show could take it...Visual media has to appeal to a broader fan base and killing off one of the most popular characters might cripple its ratings...I haven't really watched that many episodes though, so maybe they've already done this and made it work...

Even if there was some-kind of magical thing to bring Carley/Doug back, then I wouldn't like it.I'm sure that in season 2 we'll meet some other nice (fe)male who will remind us Carley/Doug :)

Hmm true. Out of all my friends who played TWD, I was the only one who got emotionally depressed ._. if they do kill Daryl, I bet everyone would be pissed xD

Yes Telltale is evil after all [SPOILERS] they killed off the main character, and THEN they pratically had you shoot him. But please don't say that. It's far to close to signing Clementine's Death Warrant. I'm not the only one thinking it either, so don't lie.

Uhh no. She's shot in the face. Even if she survived that without the group knowing it, she was ditched on the roadside which would only kill her (by her injury if not the Walkers).

She can't even come back as a zombie because of the brain damage caused by the shot.
  • edited January 2013
Imho TTG should make an alternative storyline. So Carley could survive if you defend here enough (which is also realistic and there would be no need to resurrect Carley...)
I understand it would be a lot of effort to make a complete alternative story with Carley, so take some $ for it or just let Carley leave the group after that incident with Lilly. Or let her die but at least not from a headshot...
Then (if the story is at the same time and location or if it even features the same group), you can let the characters of season 2 meet Carley, if Lee saved her.
    Regards

I feel like such an ass. I keep reading all of this Carley fandom, but I just don't feel the same way. I mean, yeah, she was a good character, but I saw her more like a good friend, not the second coming of the messiah. Her death was shocking, but I wasn't upset by it all that much.

The only way I'll accept Carley in season 2 is either as a walker in Macon, or a corpse on the roadside. That's how her story ends. Let it rest please.
  • edited January 2013
Well one possibility for a quick reappearance by Carley and Doug could be a flashback. Maybe season two's protagonist was passing through Makon during the early stages of the outbreak and saw Doug save Carley while her asshole news editor was being devoured by walkers.

    That sounds reasonable to me.
