Note that Connor doesn't actually say anything about Clementine; he just said the next game will "continue the story", indicating your personal choices will be carried over in some fashion. How Telltale will go about doing that remains to be seen.

At least he said that yet they didn't seriously consider starting with a new set of chars, I think Clementine will re-appear in season 2, and I really hope I'm right on that, and they see how many people wish that, and they know: Mad fans, are bad fans, so they will hopefully and probably put little Clem in season 2.
Oh btw: thanks for sharing this information/interview.

Considering how the main point of the story was about Clementine... I think its safe to say she will be in Season 2.

I hope it introduces some of the characters from the television show, that would be pretty cool.

That could be a mistake, IMO. Introducing characters from the comic/show is a risky business, since the writers are usually boxed in by whatever occurs to said character within WALKING DEAD canon. A good example of this is your inability to rescue Shawn, even if you chose to save him over Duck.

Then again, I suppose there are ways they could go about doing it. I haven't been reading that many issues of the comic book.

Telltale wouldn't kick such an awesome character...
Like Advanced said,I am sure Clem will re-appear in the second season.

I'm Clem doesn't appear in Season 2, then they shouldn't call it Walking Dead...

This sounds very promising, everyone I know is really excited for season 2.

Where exactly do they sit with Cannon? Is it very specifically within the comic, or are they within their rights to take the route the tv show did and make it an adaptation of the comic series, where it doesn't have to be so rigid?

I think it takes place in the exact same universe as the comic. They have already used characters from the comic in the game(Hershel/Shawn/Glenn/planned Lilly) and were careful not to change how they're perceived.

Connect the TV series and the game/comics it's a very bad idea. There are a lot of differences between comics and TV series. For example Thomas, do you remember how the cop told Lee about him?
Cop: "...He was an older fella. Big, soft eyes behind a pair of smart folk glasses, and he's just wailing back there, says it wasn't him..."
So, how Thomas looks like in TV show? Big badass latinos as like Machete, at first I didn't even realize that this is Thomas, but when I read titles, a very long time I was in shock.
It's a slight discrepancy with the comic book. How about Dixon brothers? How about Dale, Lilly (please do not confuse the Lilly of the game and the Lilly of the comics it is different girls) Hershel. How about Lorry's fate?
    I mean her death scence
Nah... it's a really bad idea.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. The character of Thomas WAS in the comics. He was the supposed tax evader who was a murderer. The game has nothing to do with the comics. But yeah, I agree with you.

Since Kirkman made his own version of Lilly, it makes sense that he does not want any involvement from the game that contradicts/connects with his comics. I'd say that Telltale and Kirkman should keep their respective characters within their own mediums.

Well that pretty much canonizes that Clem will be in season 2.

For our choices to have any baring on season 2, it means that a character who survived the game appears again (and there aren't many of them, to say the least) or that our choices had unseen consequences, kind of like with the Stranger.

Honestly, I think it's fair to assume that Clem, Omid and/or Christa will be encountered at some point. It's possible that we could see Lilly again, since she is no longer considered the same character as the Lilly from the comics.

Otherwise, there aren't many characters who we can be absolutely sure survived, and even of the above mentioned, we only know that Clem survives.

Thinking about it, here are some non-comic characters that potentially survived the game:
    -Officer Mitchell
    -Random Save-Lots Bandits
    -Vernon and Co.
    -Molly

And that's really about it. Almost all of the other characters you meet are seen being killed/dead or as walkers.

Really, I could see only Vernon and Molly being legitimate options for cameos or returns from that list.

That what I meaned, Thomas in comics are fits the description of the police officer from game
his style of murder victims of the same as officer said (Hershel's daughters)
A true maniac, but in TV series Thomas looks cheap

They have to have Clementine in season 2. There are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied.

Alright guys, hear it or not but in SEASON 2, you'll play as the GUY walking on the hills, he will surely be the protagonist of season 2 and the CHOICES you have made in season 2 will INFLUENCE your interaction with her, whether Clem shoots you, talks to you or escapes from you, so, you'll meet Clementine at the end of episode 1 season 2, then you'll have her in ep 2 with ya, I think that's the only idea Telltale has, who knows, they might change plans xD

I think Season 2 will focus on Omid's cat and his backstory. Like, episode 1 will show Omid and Christa leaving on the road trip. And when they leave you hit a button that turns the apartment into a cat disco, and all of your cat friends come by.

But then, one of the cats starts acting all weird. At first you think he's just on cat ecstasy. But wait.. oh shit, HE'S A WALKER KITTY. Shit just got real.

The rest of the episode will then focus on the struggles of being a kitty trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. And in the end you have to choose between the pretty female cat with hunting skills, or the smart IT cat who can pick locks.

    Choose wisely!

Come to think of it, how does everyone feel about Omid or Christa becoming the PC for season 2?

Whatever TTG brings to Season 2, I HOPE it is NOT from the TV show. I think that would be a huge mistake.

why do you think that? Both the tv show and the game are based off the comics anyway.

It would only make sense to continue clems story. Now if the game was called The Walking Dead 2 then a whole new set of characters would be plausible.

Hopefully there is a cameo or two from more comic book characters. I thought it was really interesting to see Hershel, Shawn and Glenn in the first season. Or I would love to see a location from the comics make an appearance, maybe the prison or Woodbury. I wonder what those places would look like some time after the Governor's assault.

The comic location thing would be nice, but I would prefer to avoid comic book characters as they are basically guaranteed to drop out of the group or die in order to stay consistent with the comic.

They are both using the same source material, but the game is sort of one and the same with the comic, as in the events take place before and during the events in the comic. The TV show has a few things that deviate from the comic, so they're not really the exact same.

Either way i don't think any characters from the comic will appear, since they've already had some cameos(Hershel/Shawn/Glenn). Plus they would be limited in what they could do regarding such characters. If season 2 takes place around the same time the first season ended, would there even be any viable characters from the comic to use?

The fact he said The Walking Dead... just completely nullified his statement xD Nothing is ever certain in the Walking Dead franchise bro! You could have all the characters back to life somehow. You could have it all be a dream. The series could start with Lee unlocking his handcuffs from the police officer(undead), or just walking out in general. You can't say 'you know' until Telltale confirms, or you are simply wastin time lol. They are using this time simply to confuse, amuse, and annoy us with their hints, teases, and goose chases

But there have been changes in most characters from comic to TV show. I know it was done on purpose and with Kirkman's say so, but I find a lot of the characters that I love(d) in the comic to be flat out annoying in the show. Show-Carl I have only just begun to like as of like 3 episodes ago lol. Where as in the comics, I liked him from the get-go. Same with Rick. Show-Rick is this confused, depressed crazy. Not the getting-over-being-depressed, bad ass strategist that he is in the comics. (Even with Lori, who I didn't care for in either, I preferred comic book-Lori.)
I guess I just find the comic characters to be stronger and more what I would expect from people who have been thrown into a ZA. The show took that weird soap-opera turn where it focused wayyy too much on the love triangle. (At least in my opinon :P)
I would hate for season 2 of TTG's TWD game to be Christa fooling around on Omid and Clem having to choose sides and all that. I hope they don't take aspects from the show because it's more drama than I prefer. (Especially given that TTG attracted so many players by saying it was based on the comics, not the show.) Also I just really don't care for many of the TV characters, as I've stated before. I don't think I could play as or along side Show-Andrea. lmao
