Everybody's Favorite Gravity Falls Thread

So, I'm a huge fan of this show called Gravity Falls, which airs on the Disney Channel. It is really, unironically fantastic. Somewhere between the weirdness, the not-as-different-as-they-seem main duo, the clever writing, and the general sense of humor, I believe that I see a few shades of our favorite Freelance Police in the mix there, with a good bit of Puzzle Agent to be sure. I've never been too great at this whole socializing thing, but I'm wondering if we have any other fans of this show on the forum!

So, what do you all like about the show? Does it remind you of your family as much as it reminds me of mine? Who is your favorite character, and why? Are you as weirded out as I am that the guy who played Flapjack is now Li'l Gideon? Have you ever seen Twin Peaks?

Personally, I love Grunkle Stan, and so does everybody I respect and admire.

    I'll be honest, i watched one episode which was on Disney Channel during the morning. I was up playing Team Fortress 2 on my laptop and it was on so i decided to watch it. The episode was about the kid Dipper wanting to become a real man and had to fight this thing to prove it but the monster turns out to be good so he does not fight it. Anyway it was pretty damn great. Not the best cartoon i seen on Disney but is way better than most of the other stuff on Disney Channel.

    Haha, that episode's not even half as good as a few of the others! Double Dipper's probably my personal favorite.

    I got mixed feelings about this show. There are times where i like it to times where it gets confusing. Either way. Its enjoyable to say the least. More enjoyable than the live-action crap from Disney.

    I have heard about that. Makes me wonder if the chapman brothers would do a short making fun of Disney having Homestar selling the site to Disney. Along with having Strong bad question Homestar on how he can check his emails without getting censored "by some rat owned company". If I recall, weren't the chapman brothers doing something for Disney?
