Castle of Illusion remake on the way!

It seems the Ducktales remastered game has gotten enough interest for this to happen. It isn't Epic Mickey 3, but it will do for now. What do you guys think of this?

    I think it's probably just going to be a port, since that's the one people want to play.

    Whether a port or a remake, I'm all for it.

    The cover makes me think its going to be a remastered remake of the original game. Hope that is the case since Castle of Illusion was a favorite of mine when growing up.

    Awesome. Shame there's no Wii-U love, but I guess that can always come later.

    Well there's a post on the Playstation Blog about it talking about the game a little and it has some screenshots including what looks like a 3D hub world.

    Definitely a remake then. A very... interesting remake. Huh. Not entirely sure about the 3D aspect. I'm fine with making a game 2½D, but adding a full 3D hub seems like the start of a slippery slope that could have some very sharp spikes at the bottom.

    Maybe a Wii-u version will be made a few months after it gets released for the Xbox acrade and the PS3. So far I'm seeing good things about this. Lets not count our chickens before they hatch. The 3D thing can be a good thing provided how this is going to be executed. I just hope that the people behind this can remake World of Illusion(with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck) too.

    I'm just wondering but how does Epic Mickey Power of Illusuion fit into this? Prequel? Sequel?

    Power of Illusion is more of a sequel to Castle of Illusion. At least from what I have read about the game.

    If it was done like the first Epic Mickey, with a central hub, but with the main levels 2d instead of as side levels, id be cool with that.

    It seems to be a very strange choice to exclude the wii U from the (hopefully) initial line-up. Afterall, the console is aimed at a younger audience. The kind disney generally targets.

    Of course, I'm well aware of the fact that most people interested in these games are into their twenties (like me!) but still, it would be nice to see so love for the Wii U.

    I guess you'll have to make me a mod so that you can keep good on your promise!

    OT: I actually think I may have played this game. I remember playing a game with a similar sounding name on the mega drive.

    Turns out it was "world of illusion". Oh well. I'll probably still get it, if it comes out for the wii U, and I have one by then.

    Also, if you made me a mod, you wouldn't have to give me cookies, as you said mods wouldn't win anything. :p
