Left 4 Dead 2 probably, followed by my heavily modded New Vegas.

Can't say I have any cemented number one favorite, but I can think of some tops ones.

Silent Hill 2- A terrifying and genuinely tragic mind screw.

Shattered Memories- A less terrifying but still tragic mind screw.

Psychonauts- Hilarious, but subtly dark, mind screw.

The Mass Effect and Dragon Age series- Cause I enjoy more than just mind screws.

    Obviously Sam and Max...

If I had to pick just one, it would have to be GTA San Andreas, mainly for all the cheat codes =D

    Dragon age: Origins.
    Spec ops : The line.

For the record: TWD is my fav game.

But other than that, let's see...
    2. Fallout 3
    3. Mass Effect trilogy
    4. At this spot I am very unsure, Bioshock infinite left quite an impression, although there are so many other great titles that did as well, as for example Dragon Age Origins, Mafia II, Bioshock (1), The Uncharted trilogy, Far Cry 3, Alan Wake, Metro 2033, Skyrim, The half life series as far as I've played it for now, Portal 2 (not played 1 yet), Deadly Premonition, Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy, Fallout New Vegas, Battlefield Bad Company 2 (great online battles), CoD MW 1&2 (in 1 the SP, in 2 the MP), Silent Hill 2, The GTA series and I'm looking forward to playing The Last of Us of course, as that perfectly fits into what I love in games.

As you see I'm mostly about atmosphere, characters and story, a little action as well, but that's the least important thing for me by far.

I think I'll stick with having a top 3, listing fav games up to your 10th favourite drives you crazy, because it's hard, many games would deserve being in there, and yet there is no room for every single one.

Is it just me, or did the dialog system in Alpha Protocol seem a lot like the Walking Dead? Is it possible that Telltale saw this system and put it in the game?

L.A. Noire, Age of Empires II, Warcraft 3, many others, mainly RTS and a couple of shooters.
  • edited May 2013
Thank God I am not the only person who still play's RTS, I do not know anybody that still plays those great games.
  • edited May 2013
Yeah the genre hasn't got new games for a while, except the SCII expansion. I'm looking foward for company of heroes 2.
  • edited May 2013
    That makes two of us.

    That makes two of us.

Three, just played the original CoH a while ago, can't wait for CoH II.
-RTS player too by the way guys, you're not alone :D
SCII is Starcraft right? Didn't play that, but I do love AoE II, even nowadays, and Rome II seems to become great as well.

i know i shouldn't be saying this in this thread...but why is this in the spoiler forum?
i don't think there would be much spoilers about other games.
....but there are slightly more people in here...
  • edited May 2013
I honestly do not pay attention to if I am in the spoiler forums or not when I make threads, that might be a problem in the future but if it needs to be moved now I am fine with it.

    - Journey and thatgamecompany's other masterpieces of Flower and Flow
    - Tomb Raider reboot
    - Fatal Frame/Project Zero 1, 2 and 3
    - Heavy Rain
    - Portal and Portal 2
    - Batman Arkham games
    - Valkyria Chronicles
    - Dead Island (my guilty pleasure)
    - Mirror's Edge

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to The Last of Us as well - so much Game of the Year potential.

    That's... quite a selection there.

hmmm. This is tough. I used to be a FPS guy, but TWD game changed that, now I am a character and plot driven guy. But i still enjoy FPS. I love cinematics in games, just makes it that much more intense.

    I would say:

    1- TWD
2- The Last of Us (Havnt played it but i know it will be, maybe even take 1st.)
    3- Uncharted 2
    4- Modern Warfare 2
    5- Twisted Metal 2
    6- Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2

For those who said Dishonored I laugh. That game was a piece of crap.

Milo you might want to skip over Bioshock 2 and just go for Infinite, and thank god I am not the only one that was disappointed in Gear of War Judgement, it's nowhere as good as Gears 3.
  • edited May 2013
Tarnation, I can't believe I forgot one of my favorite games. In addition to L4D2 and Fallout: NV, I love my Kotor II (with the restoration mod, of course). One of my first games ever, I practically squealed n delight when I saw it was on Steam.
  • edited May 2013
Rock do you how to get Kotor 2 on pc because I loved that game but it was clearly not done.

too late i picked it up in a bargain bin.it's there with bayonetta and someother games i have but never touched since buying on offer lol

still waiting for infinite to come down a bit more..i hear it'll be worth what ever i pay for it..

i could also add far cry 3 to my list and the crysis series..2 being my fave, 3 was good but short and the ending kinda sucked..

Far Cary 3 is a very good open world game, recommend, and trust me, Infinite is worth the money but you should wait for the price to go down.

seen it for 30 quid lower than that you reckon ?

have you got fc3 blood dragon ? looks interesting thinking about that too
  • edited May 2013
thirty dollars is about right for Far Cry, Blood Dragon is amazing but only if you like 80s cheese or know gaming history pretty well, but if you can live with something that does not take itself seriously at all then you are in for the time of your life.

You can buy it on Steam now, for about $10 I believe. Very cheap, I know that much. You can also download the Restored Content mod for free, just search for something along the lines of "Kotor 2 restored content mod", and you should find it. It brings the game so much closer to what it would have been, a must have for anyone who enjoyed it.
  • edited May 2013
Thanks, I loved that game and will love it that much more because of the restoration and again, thanks.
  • edited May 2013
