Night Dive Studios re-releasing LucasArts titles???
So, Night Dive Studios have posted this gif on their Facebook Page and it's being discussed on the GOG forums. At the moment, it's looking quite plausible that they're bringing LucasArts to GOG and that can only be a good thing.

It's possible. They only posted an image and didn't post an article to go with it. There's also that 10 blue line image they posted.
Would that be from a LucasArts game? At first I thought DoTT from the time Vortex at the beginning, but then I realized it wasn't the same pattern at all. The Full Throttle image has definitely got me interested though.
The blue lines look more like circuitry, or the lines running in and out of SHODAN.
Yes, but the lines are from the book.
Mainly by obsessively searching through every single page for something newsworthy
Ok, I found the thread now.
Hope this is true, especially since they seem to be putting a few hints on their Facebook page and since these guys were responsible for getting the licence to System Shock 2.
I wonder if that means something...
An HD update of Hit the Road with Telltale voice actors?
Is that even possible?
No, and I'm glad.
Nasty baiting there.
I like it.
I agree while I don't like the VA's that much it would be a pointless cosmetic change and the game graphics and mechanics are fine and don't need any updating
Agreed. The only games that really benefit from an update are the ones that lack voice acting. (though, Curse of Monkey Island would look so pretty in widescreen)
Almost as unnecessary as remaking the Telltale games with worse graphics and the Lucasarts-cast voice actors.*
*Although admittedly this idea might be a lot more fun...
I agree... let's do this!
Nobody gives a shit what Telltale fanboys don't like.
You aren't but people are clingy to the ways things used to be rather then actually caring about whether anything is good.
Not in the least. I love Hit the Road but the TT voices are the definitive ones for me now.
Actually, knowing Night Dive, it probably IS nothing.
Hopefuly there taking it to a hole to bury it so one one has to play that stupid aimless game. There is only ONE thing good about that game.
I still stick by what I said back then.
So...Night Dive said they had plans to re-release some more classics, possibly in the coming weeks even. How likely do you think it is that we'll be seeing some LucasArts titles?
I think it's obvious that GOG has something planned for their five-year anniversary. Night Dive's future releases could coincide with this. However, it could easily just be "Night Dive and Gamepot will be working together to bring Wizardry 1-5 to GOG and Steam".
