Since Lilly TT is no longer the same Lilly in the comic books, would she return?

It's canon, not cannon, and of course Robert Kirkman has final say, but he's really missing/missed an opportunity here.

Butthurt wasn't exactly the term I was looking for, but it was the closest description I could come up with. It just doesn't seem very coincidental to have "Lee" as a character in a book about Lilly, and also release it around the time Lilly was getting known better as a character because of Telltale's TWD. It's kind of a George Lucas thing to do, really.

Like I said, though. Until the comic or game contradicts one another, it's still canon as far as I'm concerned. I mean Kirkman helped write some of the show too (the reason why it could be an easy fix if he attached it to AMC's version), but that doesn't make it canon to the comics or Telltale's The Walking Dead, after all, so the point is moot.

Excuse me for the spelling error. I shall never do that again. Sheesh. Can no one in this forum have a decent debate on anything without attacking or being rude to one another? I think I shall step away from this forum and stick with Roamers and Lurkers forum. Take care all. Nice to meet ya. Ps If it is a moot point why are we arguing?

I'm not arguing, I'm debating. Also, I wasn't trying to be rude, but I for one would like to be corrected on my spelling and grammatical errors, because if I can get mistakes pointed out to me, I can fix them, or prevent them altogether in the future.

I used to type definitely as defiantly all the time, until someone was kind enough to point out for me, and I haven't made that same mistake since.

Oh, and to add insult to injury, Lilly's last name in the book IS Everett. Sound familiar?

Yeah, that was a pretty mean thing for Kirkman to do. :(

Actually, Lilly's last name is Caul in the book. Her dad's name is Everett Ray Caul. Still, that can't have been a coincidence. Why you rub it in, Kirkman?:(

Seriously, I just don't get it man. I don't hate the guy or anything, but damn. Ah well, at least there's still the option of ignoring the book until the comics contradict the game version of Lilly.

Kenny went through more emotional trauma than Lilly did(watching his wife commit suicide and killing his own son), but he never "snapped" and killed someone unrelated to those events. If Kenny can control his emotions, Lilly has no excuse.

Not trying to justify her actions, but I never understood how people could compare Lilly's emotional trauma with Kenny's. Lilly's family was killed by trusted group members, so naturally that would lead to paranoia. Kenny doesn't have anyone to blame for his family's death, so naturally he didn't start to mistrust his group. Even when Ben admits to having a very indirect hand in their deaths, it's nowhere near the level of direct responsibility Kenny, and possibly Lee, had in Larry's. Also, how is death by a nice clean gunshot more emotionally traumatic than death by head smash?

Anyways, I'd be eager to see Lilly again if it's done right, but I'm still pissed that she killed the best character in the game (Doug).

What, hate Kirkman? The guy loves to people torture people, huh? Unfortunately, I think he's already said that neither Lilly Caul nor any of the other people left at the prison are going to return in the comics.

Sorry Ben is absolutely to blame for not only Carly and Doug's death but Katjja and Duck's death. If he had grown a pair and told the group the bandits where blackmailing him to take much needed supplies from the group to give to the addicts in the woods, they would not have been attacked, Carly would not have been suspected, by an already unstable Lily, and ultimately shot in THE FACE and the walkers would not have breached the walls. Kenny kinda had someone to blame. I dropped Ben, after all he did it was the least he could do for the group. He woulda died either way so ya. Just my opinion though. Opinions are not facts so I won't pressure someone to take it as fact.

And I finally read Road to Woodbury. I retract, Kirkman could have been basically saying eff you, as Lily Caul was one of the most boring characters in The Walking Dead yet. I kinda understand the anger, however, there was an interview by I guess a Dev from TT that Lily was never meant to be the lily from the comics that everyone just assumed it was and Kirkman had already been writing Road to Woodbury since before release. Who is to say he wasn't I am a blogger, I know it takes a while to write up something specific and making sure research matches facts match. I also wrote short stories for school. It took me six months for my Final Fantasy like world story. 6 months. A novel of that kind could take a year or more to write. It would be a huge pain in the booty to go all the way back and rewrite one character to soothe peoples souls and to make them peachy king happy. But again I can see how anyone can feel they were slapped in the face.

Writing is difficult, but it's still crap that is what Kirkmen did to Lilly.
