Favorite Song From Season 1/400Days

edited September 2013 in The Walking Dead
This game had a great and touching soundtrack. I'll list all the songs used in the thread for reference.

Main Theme - Plays when we are introduced to Lee.

Alive Inside - Plays when Lee and Clementine look over what his parents left behind, and many other moments with Clementine

One Choice - Plays when you must decide who to feed in Starved for Help

It's Over - Plays when you leave/kill Andy and if Ben is dropped.

Message - This plays when Diana's message is heard at the house.

Safe - This is a puzzling one. This might play when walking around the St. John's, and when Lee is burying Fivel.

Tension - I have no idea when this plays. I can tell you one thing though. It probably is in a tense scene.

Honest - This plays when the boat is found.

Spirit Healing - Played by Chuck on his guitar

The Best for You - This plays when the group decides what to do after Clementine is kidnapped.

Decision - I dunno.

Falling - Meet Fivel. Looks like Duck don't he?

Outcome - Kenny and Ben's final stand.

Armed With Death - No explanation needed.

Saved - I don't know.

Goodbye - Keep that hair short.

Take Us Back - The reason we all burst out crying even after it finished.

Crawford

400 Days - The song that made watching the DLC trailer all the better.

Baltic Sea - The song playing in 400 Days' introduction.

Walk Among the Cobras - What would you rate this song? Strong six?

400 Days Credits

Truth Witnesser - Meet the parents.

Walk Among the Cobras is a great song and also went great with that scene!

I feel like it could be Nate's theme song :D

It should be, it was not a backround song he turned his radio on and it played that, I am going to guess it could be used if the truck is still being used, and he was in a gas station I am sure there were still tires there. I liked so many songs I would rate this my number one favorite game soundtrack, tied with Bioshock Infinite, I liked stuff like it's over, Aiming protection, Clementine, alternate Clementine, Take Us Back, the 400 days credit theme, I really can not pick.

Falling, Armed With Death, and Take Us Back are what stick out in my mind.

Falling was distinct, and tragically atmospheric. Armed With Death was perfect in setting the mood of everything coming to a head for that final rush. Take Us Back carried my less than manly tears.

    the 400 days credit theme,

Thank you! There was one song that I couldn't remember what episode it was from and that's it!

Finally found another track I've been looking for. The uploader changed it's name. "Truth Witnesser" as I prefer to call it, really stood out to me, even though it was very short. It's just the suspense before it, I mean, we all thought we were in the all-clear right? Then comes the parents. But this song, it really did it for me. Adding a much darker version of Alive Inside with heavy overtones was just unbearable.

That credit music at the end of 400 days was amazing, I think it was my favorite music in 400 Day's and I like a lot of the music there.

It's Over. As soon as the scene and song started playing I KNEW that this game was going to be amazing and that we've just started. Even now I still have this song on my iPod lol.

The one with Kenny's finale scene is very close though. 3rd is Armed to Death because it fit very well with the scene.

Ya, everyone watching you beat up Andy, with the rain and camera work, plus the music was such a great scene.

I can vote more than once, right? I can't decide which ONE is my favorite. Hell, I can barely decide which FIVE I like above the others. The soundtrack for this game was just very well made. It came together perfectly.

I think I like almost all of them, it's harder trying to find one I do not like then to find one that is like.

The guy I listing to has different names, so I you might not know half the songs I mean, for example he calls Armed for Death, Coming Through, and stuff like that.

Yeah I just chose the best names they had.

That is fair, I agree with that.

Take Us Back and all of the 400 Days music were favorites. Alive Inside is especially powerful and I remember that tune really got me immersed in the game by the time I got to the Motor Inn and realized the large group dynamics I would be facing. Armed with Death is great, brings back images of Lee gripping the shard of glass. Safe is incredible as well, is the song that plays when Kenny saves Christa on this list?

The music were Kenny 'dies' is also very good, set the tone all to well.

The main theme and armed with death are my favorite, but all the soundtrack is cool.

Great soundtrack, It's over is my favourite, when Lee yelled "it's over!" at Andy and that music played...Goosebumps!

My favourites are It's Over, Falling, Outcome, Take us Back - and I loved Armed with Death so much I made a piano-arrangement of it :D

That part also gave me goosebumps, such a great scene.

    frigging love armed with death

    Clementine Theme 2
-Sort of a different rendition of "Message", but this is definitely my favorite track of the game.

    Memories
-Played once in the beginning of episode 4, and a different version of it was played at the end of 400 Days when the survivors throw their photos into the fire.

Is it cheating to just say I like them all or not?

    Nope.

My favorite song is the trailer of No Time Left, who is she there?
  • edited July 2013
The music for the trailer is only for the trailer, but I agree it was also amazing.

    Walk among the cobras

That song is amazing, I must have heard that a hundred times this month, I think I can quote the whole thing.

    It's fricking amazing.

But I'm still gonna have to go with Alive Inside purely because a few bars in and I was 'hit with feels'. Such a powerful little tune.

The credits song by Alela Diane is stunning. It was absolutely perfect.

Armed with Death gets my adrenaline going- the tune has some serious guts.

Overall, just a brilliant soundtrack. There really isn't anything I don't enjoy.

I do implore you all to listen to Sartain's other works too. It's like taking Clapton, Cash, and the Ramones and making a blues punk lovechild.

    It's terrifying.

Armed with Death and Take Us Back are amazing.

I had never heard Take Us Back before the Walking Dead, but I am sure it contributed to with more tears, I really can't think of any song that would have been better at the end, makes me think the show could have used a lot of the music here.

No you could not, along with when Duck is about to die, and if you drop Ben.

I really love the music in this game. I thought Telltale did a great job of not only making it fit into the game and the emotion that comes with it, but how it really fits the Walking Dead universe (comic world) as well, and the tone of it all.

I could never make a top ten, to many good ones for me, I will say that the music that plays when Clementine is learning to shoot is so good I think it should be the theme song of the comics, and would be better then that one song that the TV show uses.

Yeah I think the music makes the game (and TV show, although it hasn't got as good music, Rick's Despair is a good song) even more emotional. It would help if the comic had music to go along with it, although physically impossible. This does sound weird but when I read the comics I do imagine the music from the game playing at moments. Also when reading the comics I wonder what Lee's group is doing at that moment in the world and vice versa with the game and thinking about what Rick and the group are doing. I think a crossover wouldn't be good but I do really like that both the game and comic are in the same universe.

I do think the same thing, like how in the show it's only 300 days in. I also like t play the music from the game while I read the comic, it really does in prove some scenes by a lot, now if only they will release the soundtrack so I don't have to keep using Youtube.

I hope I'm not the only one that really likes Baltic Sea...

The one where he gets lost to the horde trying to save Ben, yes I love that theme, it added so well to the atmosphere, hell most of the songs made everything more badass, sad, or tense.
