This is going to sound like a broken record but for some reason I just did not like Ellie, I don't know why, well it could be because I played Bioshock Infinite first and my heart has only enough space for two, sorry if I sound like a cold heated bastard but it's what I think.
One character is 8 years old, and the other is 14. For that, they are written completely differently.
I loved both characters. Ellie feels more nuanced, but that's because of her being older. There's only so much motivation and complexity you can put into an 8 year old.
Ellie's baddass, but Clem's sweet and innocent (and still manages to kill some walkers).
Maybe Clem, because she will get older and will learn skills to survive.
Clementine. I was hoping that maybe Last of Us and TWD could cross-over (Heck I'd love it for an alternate non-canon scenario for Joel and Ellie to be at the hill) However I doubt that'd happen.
I love both and don't hate me when I say this but Ellie is so much more of a realistic character. Unlike Clementine, she never got to see the normal world, she was born in the apocalypse and she reacts like any person in her situation would, she curses and has a dark sense of humor. She isn't as cute as Clementine but she is just as charming, she often whistles, hums and even tells corny jokes through out the game. I cared for Ellie a teensy bit more than Clementine. (Which was a lot, I voted for ben to stay and didn't drop him just because of her.)
I can't believe people actually like Ellie. She's a bratty bitch and she's the complete opposite of clementine. And please tell me Crixus is fucking joking.

From the beginning Clementine is already sweet and adorable, and she becomes hardened by the apocalypse. Ellie was born in the apocalypse, so she was born the hard shell that she is. You have to understand that to like Ellie.
If I had to pick one to accompany me in the apocalypse? Hands down it would be Ellie. Playing these games I had the natural paternal instinct to protect both girls, but thing is, Ellie doesn't even need that much protection. Of course, this poll isn't really fair for Clementine, since Ellie is almost twice as old as she is, so, naturally, she can pull her weight around way better. Still, ultimately, it would be what influences my decision to pick Ellie. Way less of a dead weight, and old enough to make conversations more interesting, so zombie apocalypse isn't quite as boring. Sorry, Clemmie, much as I like you, you lose this one
She does have her uses, yes, but Ellie can do the same and more. With Clem I would be constantly worried, as I had been in the game, whenever we seperated. Though we never did get to see her defending herself, even after the gun training Lee gave her, I somehow doubt she could handle a walker by herself. Which is totally understandable, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have handled one when I was 8 years old. But Ellie, on the other hand, proves time and again over the course of the game that she's more than capable of defending herself, be it infected or humans. Just someone I'd rather have around me.
We'll probably get to see some of that in Season 2. Really, I don't think even Telltale would have the guts to kill Clementine off. Here's hoping this won't provoke them :P

Gwen Stacy was killed off a long time ago. But yeah Peter was killed off. It's not disney's fault though, the writer of the comics Dan Slott wrote it. It was a bold move, but I wouldn't worry too much, they revive characters all the time in comics.

I love both so much, yet they're so different. Clem is younger (she's just a child) and also more innocent. Ellie is a badass teenager. Both are adorable and lovely.
