I was just checking the Wiki and noticed something quite surprising (for me at least), when it comes to voice actors.

Did you guys know that both Stranger and Vince are voiced by the same voice actor?!

Yeah I know, I recognised the Strangers voice not long into playing Vince's story.

I did not, I knew it was Anthony Lam, but I did not know while playing.

Did you know that the bandit raid in Episode 3 was planned differently? Depending on a dialogue choice, Lilly would originally get left behind?

Really? Huh, that would have been very interesting... especially because Carley and Doug may have had different fates if she had been.

if she did all those characters then she obviously did a good job. I didn't even notice the similarity in their voices...

Kind of like Nolan North where he can go from Nathan Drake one moment and then do Stoic from TRoB the next... I literally did not know they were both the same voice actor until I saw the credits...

I know that feel, Troy Baker does real well at not sounding the same, Booker DeWitt does not sound like Joel or Matthew Baker from Brothers in Arms.

He's also joker in batman arkham origins! It literally sounds nothing like him! Mans a voice acting god!

Troy Baker? Isn't he also doing Revolver Ocelot in the new MGSV Phantom Pain?

I don't think I've heard his other work though, but judging from the MGSV trailer, Troy Baker does a badass Ocelot...

He did Gearboxs first major successful series, which was Brothers in Arms, it was kind of like if Band of Brothers was a game, and a good one at that, he did Joel in the PS3 exclusive the Last Of Us and my personal favorite, the deeply regretful and badass Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt in Bioshock Infinite, and as you said Revolver Ocelot in MGSV, I did not even know that and Ocelot is my favorite character in Metal Gear.

I remember him voicing the main character in a jRPG I was playing. Tales of Vesperia, I think it was called. He does well with sarcastic, down to earth anti-heroes.

Seems that way, as I believe in Brothers in Arms he slowly goes insane as his squadmates die, well Joel is a asshole quite a lot of the time, and Booker, well I have to say this, Booker DeWitt is a taciturn and serious man, who feels deep regret for atrocities and wrongdoing committed in his past, in conversation with others, he expresses deep-seated self-loathing after everything he has done.
  • So I realize I'm totally late to the party, but I just wanted to thank you all for your support! I always worry about over-saturating these intense worlds that TTG has created and that I'll take players out of the moment if they recognize me as Katjaa, but I'm glad to see that for the most part you're ok with it. And yes, we (the voice actors) audition for every single role, so it is certainly not laziness on TTG's part! Hope you're all enjoying season 2 :)

  • I love it! Since some characters are dead, why not hear their voices in other alive characters. The only thing I'm bothered with is Dave Fennoy being Bluebeard's VA in TWAU. I think it should be the same VA as Georgie.

  • Mara Junot voiced Anna and Christa. I didn't know and you can't even tell!
