i think it's an age/perception thing, once people reach a certain age they are no longer adorable eg. if clementine was Becca's age and she put bugs on Duck's pillow it wouldn't have been cute, it would have been bullying, if she had snuck out to find Lee when told to stay in the house at Becca's age it would have been dangerous and irresponsible not so sweet that she misses Lee etc.
i just think people are giving her a hard time without realising they are judging her because of her age and think she should know better
Good grief, from the looks of it practically any kid who is not Clementine is more or less doomed to be hated, alive or dead, or walker even.
Seems like it... I mean, I would've liked Duck, but his voice actor annoyed me and made everything he said seem uncaring. Regardless, though, his death was the saddest of the whole game... Screw Lee or Doug, Duck made me tear up a bit.
I'm probably the only one who actually rather liked her...
I also like her. In my game I saw her as someone who was misguided and someone I needed to protect and keep on the right path. I quite liked that. I saw her relationship with Shel as relatable and liked the challenge of being a good role model and helping her keep her humanity intact.
I think people have been judging the girl harshly to be honest. The photo of her at her birthday party shows she wasn't always miserable and cold, she was once a normal happy, sweet girl. Clearly she has experienced a lot to harden her. If she can get to a safe place where there are good people she may let her guard down and learn to trust again, like Carl in the comics when he went to the Alexandria settlement. I think she could show her sweet side again and behave more like a kid, get back some sense of normality. She is still quite young so she an still go either way as she develops. whether she becomes a good person or not will probably be based on how Shel brings her up and the decisions Shel or the character we control makes if she is in season 2 at all.
I find it odd that people were legitimately scared by her trick. When she screeched at me I just said "Juvenile" in the blandest tone and continued on my merry way.
I have to admit that I jumped because I didn't expect it. There was a similar scene in LA Noire that made me jump as well when I was collecting info from the neighbors in an apartment and a guy opened the door wearing a Halloween mask.

She's as dumb as Duck and Ben but not nice like them while trying to be Bad ass which makes her character a really dangerous one.
I could easily like her or at least understand her if she was one or the other but a dumb not really tough kid trying to act tough is the worst.
And no I certainly don't think she's evil just annoying and no I don't want her to die, the only person I wanted to kill was the stranger and I did... no false threats from me
I doubt she would be as dangerous as Ben. That guy was a walking disaster, a force of nature taking people out in it's wake. Lol. I had nightmares about Ben accidentally getting me killed. He nearly caused as much deaths to those associated with Lee than the Governor did with those associated with Rick. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben was responsible for M.R Parker getting his leg caught in the trap.
Why do you people think she's evil? She acts like normal people would in the goddamn zombie apocalypse
But she's sassy as hell and I don't like her attitude. Doesn't make her EVIL. If she was, she would accept to shoot Stephanie if you tell her to go ahead and do it.

Who said she was "evil" in this thread? Unless I missed it I've seen no "evil", although there seems to be plenty of "dislike" and even "hate" and some people have given some pretty good explanations as to why they do and why calling her evil is OTT.
She's a bit sour, cowardly and dense (yes, even for a 12 year old) and from what little I saw of her I was irritated by, but calling her evil or heinous, unless in jest, is ridiculous
The kid has had a rough go of it but with the lovely Shel by her side, I'm holding out that she doesn't become Carl-lified and deader inside in S2. One can hope anyway
I don't know, Carl is kind of a badass in the comic.
He was kind of a badass and then he went full sociopath, if such a thing is possible. The kid is darker than dark and he unsettles me more than Negan does.

Ugh. If there's one thing that would upset me more than Clementine getting killed...
i really can't like the Carl character in the show because i know he will become an amoral asshole, and if Clementine turned out like that i wouldn't like her either

That was a perfect analysis! Spot on!
Pffft. No, I don't think so.
I liked Duck well enough but I don't like Becca (so far).

I did like Becca though.
