    How?

It was the writers who probably decided it was best to erase his heroic death and perfect character arc for him to come back in season 2 and have likely no purpose at all in the story, besides from blatant fanservice, to which he will eventually die a gruesome death, undeserving of his character.

You asked for this, folks. :p

Having Kenny return in season 2 wouldn't be fanservice, as his "death" still remains ambiguous. Having Kenny return as an avenging archangel who slaughters zombies by the thousands WOULD be fanservice. There's a difference.

That being said, the quotes DomeWing listed above definitely don't look good. :( I'd understand if Telltale simply decided to leave Kenny's fate unresolved - Kirkman's already pulled the same stunt on the comic book with several characters - but this is probably the one time where I'm praying they make an exception. Living, dead, undead...I'd accept the consequences, so long as I get an answer. Because let's be honest here, "What happened to Kenny?" will be one of the top five questions the majority of WD players will be asking when they begin season 2. To leave the question unanswered with a shrug of the shoulders and a "that's life" might be realistic, but it might not be financially sound.

In Ben's scene, Kenny was swarmed, no way out. No door, or manhole (which is less likely, because manholes have to be pried with a tool or opened from underneath, and Vernon's group probably tended to close the manholes after themselves. That's the only explanation as to why they never found any open manholes.

Christa's scene, there were a fair amount of zombies, probably the same amount as Lee fought (as in, had the option to kill) on the way to the Marsh house, but it was pitch black, and Kenny ran out of bullets. As we all know, he's piss poor at hand to hand fighting, and just 2 to 3 minutes ago, he was drinking.

In short, I think he's dead as every walker you come across.

EDIT: Also, nice little tidbit there, Dome.

Didn't kenny said that he fights better when he's shitfaced?

You are right, I can see a door, good catch right there.
  • edited August 2013
    I didn't see anything.
  • edited August 2013
Sorry I have poor constriction (if that's how you spell it, I don't f*cking know)
  • edited August 2013
It is really hard to make out, it's just the outline to, but it's there, which means that Kenny could have gotten out of there, plus one Kenny.
  • edited August 2013
    Me neither...
  • edited August 2013
Right, that is what I meant, it is there though, you were completely right.
  • edited August 2013
I'll take you're word for it, cause I can't see sh*t. I'll always believe in things that prove Kenny's alive.
  • edited August 2013
Yes you do, I would never have known if you did not point it out, just one more reason to show Kenny made it.

Hey! I don't need glasses. I have good eye sight, my opp-ti opp-tet *struggling to spell* *sighs, stupid spellings* eye specialist said so, I'm only slightly short sighted.

    Optician.

i'm only slightly short-sighted as well, and i saw a Blackish thing there. i thought it was a game glitch.

I see it. It helps if you tilt the screen down/up a little. Still, it might not be too wise to get your hopes up about pitch-black holes in the wall...

Optician, thank you, thank also to auto correct you really helped me out a f*cking lot! Stupid auto correct. I can't spell, some people ask if I have dyslexia.

Door to another room ≠ exit. If the "doors" lead outside, there would be light sources so they wouldn't be pitch-black. I mean it's certainly possible that they lead outside but like everything else with Kenny's death, it's ambiguous at best.
  • edited August 2013
Being ambiguous seems to be something Kenny loves to be.
  • edited August 2013
Through a ground floor window. As he climbed through and the walkers attempted to follow him they'd get stuck trying to all go through at once.
  • edited August 2013
But now we can confirm there's an exit!

Remember, I'm the original finder. At least on the forums.

Glad you found it, +1 for Team Kenny! I couldn't see it, but I bet if I turned the brightness on PC I could see it... Anyways good find and its funny to see how much this has exploded... Keep this thread alive and keep the conversation going people! :D

The next thing you could possibly do is maybe highlight some of the windows you saw in the alleyway for further proof...
  • edited August 2013
Of course there's a door in that room! Who in their right mind would build a room with no doors in it?
  • edited August 2013
    Me :p
  • edited August 2013
    Me :p

That means that you killed Kenny. He couldn't escape from the room and died. I hope you're proud of yourself.
  • edited August 2013
No I didn't, I was joking. I want Kenny to be alive more than anyone else. He's my bro too.
  • edited August 2013
I didn't mean I built the room Kenny was in with no doors, I meant a different room.
  • edited August 2013
I feel exactly the same way if Kenny's not in season 2
  • edited August 2013
I can somehow see that happening.
  • edited August 2013
Why would Telltale build a door if Kenny won't make it? Doesn't make any sense.

    KENNY CONFIRMED FOR SEASON 2
  • edited August 2013
In option with Ben i think he just found open window ;D
  • edited August 2013
The one thing I wonder is this: I made an alternate walkthrough where I gave Kenny an extra bullet during the alleyway scene... Which makes Christa ask "I heard shots" and the dialogue changes to "Kenny took Ben out, then himself"... I wonder how this will effect season 2...
  • edited August 2013
But that is just Lee guessing that he did that, he did not see it happen, I believe you can give up to five bullets to Kenny, which would make it six, pretty good I guess.
  • edited August 2013
I would have given Kenny the bullet I saved, but I wasn't f*cking leaving my bro behind, he pushed me out the alleyway :(
  • edited August 2013
GODDAMMIT IT, I always wondered what he says, I had bullets and wanted to give them to him but it felt better to say that I will not leave you behind, I hope that does not make him dead.
  • edited August 2013
You forgot Ben in Goddammit :D
  • edited August 2013
GODDAMMIT BEN, I forgot to put his name in there.

for some reason, schrodinger and Utility stache are in the tags.
  • edited August 2013
That is really strange, how do I never notice those things.

for some reason, schrodinger and Utility stache are in the tags.

There are some pretty interesting tags here on some threads really, like F*** Kenny, Shel, Clementine As an Adult or Larry's charm overload (fun pics) threads for example.

Guruguru... romaninator... clempowerment... asscharm... I mean, wut?
  • edited August 2013
I appreciate the "gonna need a bigger speck" and "vernon magician of evil" tags for the "'No Time Left' Fixed" thread. Kudos to whoever's doing this.
  • edited August 2013
It says that, that is genus whoever said that should get some forum medal.
  • edited August 2013
The only tags I put in where "alive, kenny, not dead". I have no clue who put the other tags in...
