Yeah . I'm kinda annoyed how Omid and Christa get the " YOU LIVE " card in season 1 while Doug/Carley get the " YOU DIE " card . I mean , Omid and Christa were just some random strangers who we met on the road and yet they somehow survive this season while the entire group dies well except for Clem and Kenny ( maybe ) . Wish they survived with Omid and Christa .
I know nobody wanted them to die ... I didn't I'm just saying story wise there use was up. With Omid and Christa they were strangers and we had a good Arc of them coming to trust us and vice versa (well Christa anyway)
Good arc or no, it doesn't diminish the fact that they were strangers. Storywise it would have been wiser to feed one of THEM to the walkers, and leave more of the original group intact. Instead, they reduce the original group to merely THREE people. I'd say that's too few.
I saved Carley, but her death couldn't have come at a "better" time for the story. Maybe it could have been less random and abrupt, but my canon Lee had a lot of emotional baggage and turmoil moving forward without Carley. She had been one of my main pillars of support throughout most of the game and the world was a lot bleaker with her dead on the side of some damn road. Apart from her convincing Lee to reveal his past (therefore saving my relationship with Kenny) and being the mother figure for Clem, I was shocked and devastated by the timing. But the timing served its purpose to plunge my Lee down a dark and vengeful path.
Doug, on the other hand, could have survived most the rest of the season in my opinion. He could steadily change up until he has the option of joining on the rescue mission. I might even go so far as to say that Kenny's sacrifice for Ben would have made more sense if Doug had stayed behind with Ben, but great scene nonetheless. I just think the guy had so much potential, and saving Ben from the bullet did not have to be his final heroic act.

What do you mean with the cards?

What I'm trying to say is that Omid and Christa get to live while Doug/Carley die no matter what .
Oh lol XD
you are right.

I think both Doug and Carley should've stayed longer . It would be unfair for the people who choose Carley if he lived longer than Carley .
