Ouya - experiences, opinions, etc.
Hey guys,
I was getting interested in the Ouya.
Are there any of you out there who already own one? Any notable experiences?
Even though it looks great, downloadable games, emulator options, etc. It's still like connecting a tablet to a TV I guess.
I'm curious to see what other people think.

Is this in the Walking Dead area because TWD will be on OUYA or were you confused because there now are "General chats" in all subsections? Tell me whether I should move the thread.
As for the OUYA, well. Before you buy, you should should be informed of very recent OUYA PR desasters.

The OUYA is an interesting dream, but with PR like that, you can expect that a steadily decreasing number of developers and gamers will go on to dream it.
Excuse me, this should be in general discussion in Telltale Talk. My apologies.
It now is.
I got an early kicksterter-backer Ouya, and I'm pretty unhappy with the latency of the controller. It plays games pretty poorly, in my impatient attempts to play some. I've heard the retail units are better. I installed XMBC on it and it makes a reasonably decent media streamer for my living room, but there are better devices you could buy for cheaper.
Thanks for the info.
Does it have an external sound output? I'm looking to use a digital 'lightpipe' cable, but it wasn't really clear if it has such an output.
Also, what's the 'average' age the Ouya is fun for? I'm looking for some simple games for my 5 year old daughter. I wanted to use the Ouya for some emulators so she can play some older Nintendo games she already knows.
Anyway, all thoughts and comments are welcome.
