Telltale would not announce the game's release date using only a small handful of cryptic tweets on a Sunday Night. However, it is tremendously safe to expect the game in the next two weeks or so, I'd say.
Yeah, that's definitely not the release date. They just want you to go here at that time to get details on Season 2. Most likely because announcing any details about Season 2 out in the open would be a major spoiler for Season 1.
It's true that they should have at least showed a trailer for it...but this is a TUESDAY, for a TRAILER? I know Telltale, and Season 2...I don't think Telltale will show ANY footage(until launch trailer of course)

If its just some generic info rather than a release date, then it will have been a poor move on Telltales part to build it up so much by portraying it as something major. You shouldn't jerk your customers around like that.

Here is something I think is a problem. Anything less then a game release on Tuesday would be a fail in the minds of many fans because little to no information on TWDS2 has been released to the massive amount of fans who hang out on the forum.
Fans were told that TWD S2 would be released in the fall of 2013. Some of the staff let loose that it will be deployed along side of TWAU.
Now we get a date and a time in a tweet.
Through this entire process we have not been given any teaser images or trailer and as a fan I feel that the buildup has been so much that anything less then a release of the game would be a failure. Maybe if I had something to wet my lips last month like a teaser image or something like that would have been fine I would have expected a trailer next.
Let's not forget the possibility that, even if it IS a release date, no platforms have been announced. That is what gets to me more than anything. It's gonna suck for, say, us Vita players, if they keep telling us 2013, then suddenly it's out for every console but that one.

Well then, shame on them. You just have to read the details and think rationally based on the experiences we got from Season 1 and TWAU to realize it is nearly impossible to be a game release.

The 'liked this game' facebookians however, they can't really know for sure. It is, after all, a rather nebulous announcement.

Telltale Games will be revealing details later this month, and there won't be long to wait after that for the season premiere!" So tomorrow we get some details (hopefully some kind of trailer & release date atleast) and game itself soon after. Hopefully sometime in november.
