The Walking Dead season 2 release date confirmed by steam?

On the Steam community hub a steam official said that they already received the game and that they are waiting for TTG, which should happen in the next couple of days.

And Steam put TWD S2 on the "coming soon" page between games that will be released between 25 november and 3 december.

    ...and before Steam gets a proper and concrete date from Telltale, they can't confirm anything, and they obviously haven't yet.


    To my knowledge, Steam gets the final Telltale build of an episode only hours before release.

    HOURS.

    I'm sad to say, but chances are you'll have to wait a bit longer than December 3rd. But not much. ;)

    The information is on the Steam aplication. I don't know how to link it here. And i know that Steam usually gets the games approximately 1 week before it's release so they can configure it to their platform.

    I've talked to the wikia guys, who have been going on Steam info for weeks now. However, they've now changed it to reflect the actual official truth.

    It's a placeholder date on Steam. At present, it rather looks like December than November.

    DON'T get your hopes up. Chances that the game releases next week out of the blue are really small.

    Not saying it's impossible, but to my ears, puzzlebox' recent posts in the release date thread sound like Telltale's still on track for before Christmas, but there's no vibe at all that we're awfully close.

    Well, something new to try and hope for. I think December 3 is a likely date at present.

    Got to stay hopeful, optimistic, and persistent.
