How are you using your Bigby?

How are you using your Bigby? Are you being the "nice guy" or a total jerk to everyone? Maybe a mix? Why are you doing those things? Will you act any different in the second episode? If so, why?

  • In my main playthrough I'm just doing what I want to do the most. Generally it's turned out to be - nice but not a pushover.

  • When Bigby had the dialogue exchange with Collin, (the pig) you learned that in the past he ate everyone, he was "big and bad", feared, etc.. It just wouldn't satisfy me to keep being the douche that everyone always remembered, so I'm going the nice person route; which will hopefully change other characters' tainted perception of him.

  • Same here.

I'm playing Bigby as a nice guy. But if you try to fuck with him for more than 3 seconds you're dead. Pronto.

  • That's a good strategy. It's kind of how I am in real life.

I just played it how I felt. Usually meant being a dick because people are jerking me around. Toad got the worst of it. I didn't feel like fucking around, so I just went up to Toad and started yelling at him, and eventually I slapped him. Also, Lawrence died because I wanted to make sure Toad was ok.

  • Hmmmmmm... Ok, that makes sense.

  • I did that on my second game.

I chose to be somewhat a dickhead with Bigby by being silent to Snow all of the time leaving her unsure, telling on Beauty, telling Bufkin to fuck off, drinking in front of Collin and not sharing, I spared Gren's arm and took the Woodsman in though. By story standards I guess I'm rather ambiguous at the moment.

  • I know it's going come back to bite me, if you were nasty it's not going look good. I'm being good for play through. It's harder to walk away from a fight in the game, then actually fight. Plus being bad in guy doesn't make your friends, plus not required.

  • Bigby needs to be the nicest badass in the town. I play the game cut throat. I will be your friend if you want to help me keep things under control, but step up to me and you're losing your arm lol. When trying to keep Fables from cutting eachothers heads off, Fear is the best weapon. Toad said it best to his son, "Wouldn't want the Big Bad Wolf to come take you away now huh?, get back to your room". Word.

  • Good strategy.

  • Kind of like in life. It probably helps to be cool to everyone.

  • It's like you just described Bigbys personality. (Or his new one at least.)

  • At first I was generally playing nice, but when it came down to knitty gritty of getting information e.g. from road or the bar keep I often was a bit sour. Although in a rash and probably regrettable red haze I made two awful decision in my opinion at the end of the episode: I tore off Grim's arm and wen after Woodsman for some stupid reason.... I feel I may have some hard to face consequences next episode.

  • I feel like the woodsman is going to become a solid ally if you choose him. The way he was talking to Bigby in the bar.. it was like.. he was trying to atone for his mistakes and move on with his life.. maybe that direction is at your side??

  • I like the sound of that, the Big Bad Wolf and the Woodsman? Together? In a murderous New York? I'm in!

  • Dude, telling Beast was a good thing. I doubt she's up to any good.

  • Misquote.
"Do you want the big bad wolf to take you away?"
    "No."
"Then get the FACK back inside."

  • Hmm, I can agree with that actually. The problem I am having is that, seeing Dee in the next time trailer, at the moment I'm caught up on that fact that he's the killer. The evidence isn't in his favor at the moment and letting him go could only cause more murders?

I´m playing as the good guy but now after that things that happend in Episode 1 maybe I will change some things. ;)

  • A psychopath with a temper as short as an atom. Doesn't like to be fucked with,

  • Someone who's tries to be reasonable and calm in all situations without losing his temper over the slightest things, puts the investigation first over his friends, is not afraid to speak his mind, and is kind only to those who shows him respect.

  • Sounds like a asshole bureaucrat. - investigations over his friends ^^
But whatever thats the good thing in TellTaleGames. We can play the way we like it. :)

  • I did the same thing fack with me and you are dead type of thing.

  • I noticed that too. Wonder if they will get together. I don't know...

  • There really isn't a humane way to play the game considering Bigby is a freaking wolf!

  • LOL, I don't know if you can make it funny. WAU isnt filled with much of that. But there is a couple of parts that are hillarious.

  • I kind of hope that taking Woody is the right choice. He seems cooperative in the interrogation, whereas Dee seems stubborn, and unwilling to help.

    Dunno...
