Hm, I got myself 1,306. This is a rather uninteresting number so far as I can tell, but I don't really care too much. It won't make me feel as bad about actually READING the book. Like, if I got #1, I'd probably not be able to even remove it from its wrapping. Same book, I know, but....
.....I didn't buy it in hardcover for its limited nature. I bought it *when* I did due to that(I didn't want the books to run out before I could get one), but....
I buy books to read them, not as decorative items. So this guy's gonna get read thoroughly and enjoyed. Wow this is nice paper. I don't think I've seen such nice paper in a book before. I just hope I don't break the spine by reading this book, because *damn* is it really, really nice and I know a replacement would be prohibitively expensive or impossible to come by.
Damn you Telltale and your limited editions! I just wanted a hardcover book! ;_;
....on a side note, does anyone have any of the earlier books? I want to see if the signature is longer on like, book number 51 than it is on book number 1,306. Because I'm wondering if Purcell started to get lazy after signing over 1,000 books. xD
"well, mr. purcell, you've been working for pixar several years. that does not impress us at all, but some guy on the internets says you got wrists of steel. so....you're hired.":D
Just got mine literally a minute ago, after just over a week of rushing to the door in anticipation whenever the doorbell rang. A guy came who i thought would deliver it, but he was delivering my Mum's new passport. I went back upstairs, sat down at the PC, and saw a parcelforce van drive down the street, but it did a u-turn and went back.
Then, the van pulls up again, and it turns out he hadn't see the house number.
I got 1350, which according to wikipedia is the year that:
England invaded France.
Battle of Les Espagnols sur Mer: An English fleet personally commanded by King Edward III defeated a Spanish fleet.
Hayam Wuruk became ruler of the Majapahit Empire.
the Black Death first appeared in Scotland.
I'm debating with myself whether to take off the plastic wrapping, or buy a paperback version to read.
I've thumbed through both the hardcover and the softcover with my greasy little mits mwhahaha. The paper is soooo nice. But i'll stick to reading the softcover for now, especially with a little toddler keen to add his own artistic mark to all our literature (cute but damned annoying! he wants to sign all the books too awwwww)
REMOVE the plastic wrapping, if not just so you can caress that cover and flip through those wonderful pages.. mmm (ok, now i'm starting to make it sound like comic book porn.. tisk)
Steve's wrists of steel are legendary, least.. they should be.

The toddler-friendly version with cardboard pages comes next month
I so would too! hahaha. I'm still so tempted to get "baby's first Mythos" because hey, everyone wants to teach their kids about the wonders of the great eldritch evils.
what number sam and max: Surfin' the highway (hardcover edition) did you get? I plan on taking all numbers posted and compiling a list of corresponding usernames. Obviously this isn't going to be complete since not everyone who bought a copy frequents the forums, but i thought this might be cool.
Comments
(S)He said it was almost the same.

Do you need any help? I'm good at kicking ass.
Steve Purcell, an independent comic writer currently working for Pixar that has wrists of steel and produces drawings as a waste product.
He should add those comments to his resume.

can you put numbers in all the frames so that the toddler can know what colours to use when colouring in?
Dude, that messes people so much. That's how people end up calling the color "red" the number 5.
....it's so sad that I'd actually buy that. xD
Beautiful number for a computer scientist, btw.
Cheers, murphy
PS: Got the german season 1 on DVD.
(could have done without being burned on the software tax though)
So close...
Please email support@telltalegames.com with your order number and we'll refund the incorrectly-charged tax for you.
Bought it from the Telltale Comic-Con booth.
*goes to check*
Nope! No one's reported that yet, so you get first honors of having a series of numbers that are sequential neighbors*!! YAY!!
* = Sequential Neighbors meaning numbers that are found in the same four digit grouping but not nessicarily in sequential order.
1029 and 1030
Edit: Oh, and taxes were exactly the expected 7,20 EUR, so everything okay here.
incase you hadn't done already read the below quote
mine says 155 on a white paper slip shrink wrapped into the back
" I am not a number,I am a free man" Ha Ha Ha!
I dont think you need one in southern california anymore!!
You got me there!
