I don't really see them finishing the game by the end of the year if each episode takes them 11 weeks (2 2/3 months) to put out (assuming episode 2 comes out on March 4), then the last episode should be out by the end of January 2015 - assuming no other episodes take longer than 11 weeks, which (given Telltale's track record) is no guarantee.
But I'd never buy a season pass anyway if there's nothing 'extra' you get for a Season Pass. Even if it's slightly less expensive, it just makes sense to wait until it's all out and compiled into one game to buy it for less than the episodes cost anyway. Or just buy the episodes as they come out.
Damn. And here I thought I knew exactly what I was buying. No wait, I did! An episodic game! Probably fully released before the end of this year. No muss, no fuss.
And it cost the whole 25€, whoop-de-doo! Totally breaking down my finances, yeah.
Actually I believe if it's been 11 weeks since episode 1 (come March 4, assuming that's when it comes out), then they missed the 6-8 week target also...
Just saying - if they just say 3 months to begin with, it would be better for P.R. because it would show them always getting their episodes out on time (or earlier, if they put it out before 3 months).
No, they just say, "oh we didn't commit to anything we just write it in the FAQ...", and now they changed the release dates from 4-6 week to 6-8 weeks but whatever, I'm expecting that this delay inly happens in episode 2 like in season 1.
i get the whole " ill have more cash for tangable stuff now" but personally the small difference overall is barely noticable. i spend more on jack and cokes in a month than i spent on my season pass
"really? isnt there ANYONE left who doesnt rage quit life because they lack the instant gratification they want. so dont buy the season pass. … morepay more in the long haul! that will teach ttg."
Yeah, you pay a little more in the long run but you don't feel it as much because you're not paying in bulk and if you're like me who lives in the UK and buys the episodes from the US psn store you're not losing any money at all. Think how much more money a working person will make after purchasing the first episode in the time it takes telltale to release follow up episodes. That's nearly 3 pay checks worth of money. What is it to spend £4-5 pounds on an episode out of 2-3 months wages compared to paying £20 in one month for a product that will take nearly a year to own in full. That extra £15 can go on tangible things you can use there and then like groceries. I know what option I will chose, but to each his own.
Telltale receive a larger amount of mo… [view original content]
Cause of the huge amount of complaining about the same thing over and over again as you actually seem to do, one would think that you'd just stop buying their games. But hopefully they won't rip you off and not give out any more episodes from the second season.
You know very well what I mean. One can't survive on only noodles. What I'm trying to say is that they give us a Season Pass, with a noticeabl… moree higher price than buying single episodes. It goes without saying that you think that you get what you pay for. In this case a well structured release schedule, and at least decent Customer Support, with a strong network between buyers and developers. And it has proven to be quite the opposite for those who bought the Season Pass. And the thing that still puzzles me is that they are still using their; episodes are usually available to download four to six weeks apart. We all know by now that it's all baloney. So we who bought the Season Pass is walking on a thin rope in the dark with no guarantee whatsoever if we will get the remaining episodes or not. And the worst part about this is that Telltale Games has still not established communication with us and provide us with meaningful updates on the progress.… [view original content]
This is B.S. They said 4-6 weeks between episodes! I bought the season pass expecting this and they have the nerve to say they are not behind schedule? Sorry Telltale, I love the game, but you failed the fans and promises with TWD game here.

Oh, have we entered the "they won't finish the Season" stage already? Yeah, it's unprecedented. Of course.
I guess you're, as always, just panicking for show, but here's a little story about customer service. When Telltale delayed the PC version of Jurassic Park by almost a year, they did not just offer full refunds. Anyone who preordered also got a code for a full game - which could also be used for future games, i.e. Jurassic Park when it finally came out.
I'm strongly standing by that I didn't get what I paid for,
Had absolutely everything worked out completely according to schedule, you'd still be waiting for 60% of the game right now, no? But I guess you'd make the very same fuzz nonetheless.

They said next week, right? If it were to arrive tonight they'd have said later this week no? Or maybe I'm wrong.
But tonight would be a ideal time to release a trailer. They have done it before.
It's BS, but at least I think we will really be playing in early march, because Telltale usually releases trailers max a week before the actual episode release, at least it was like this with Season 1.
Only 'Around Every Corner' took like 5 says after the trailer was released, which was the longest wait in Season 1.
Now that they announced the trailer I guess we will get the trailer between thursday and sunday next week and the episode on the 4th.

Disclaimer: I didn't make this, Puzzlebox did back in October 2012

that is the direction rpg games should go. your choices directly ( and sometimes drasticly) changing the game. most rpgs are too linear.

Uncanny. Spot on.
Waiting themed... well, seems to me you're just rolling around here till the world ends.
this is my reaction to some of the posts I've seen here. Nothing about the actual release date has effected my reaction to this thread.
You DO know there are roughly fifty billion other public forums on the web you're free to browse, right?
yes.
Let's just hope TellTale don't run Out of Time, Man.
