But how will people react if it's NOT? It won't be good.
To be honest, It's warranted. I don't mind who it is, as long as its a Season one character.
If it's Victor or someone we barely know people will obviously be pissed because we've been discussing who it could be for months now and there's alot of hype for Kenny/Lily. It's to be expected.
People will be pissed if its someone they met in the 16 month timespan. i would be happy to see anyone BUT lilly (#Kennyconfirmedforseason2)
Said this before and I do apologise in advance as it's too good a chance to poke fun at people, but nevermind people freaking out because Kenny or Lilly haven't appeared. Imagine people freaking out because Kenny or Lilly dies one second after being introduced.
Personally, along with those being mentioned, I think there's a chance it could be Christa too.
No matter who it ends up being, someone is gonna be pissed off about it.

If it is an good set up it can be hwo ever, first some may feel disappointed but they will get over it and just follows the story and be satisfied overall.
Look, the point is that I don't want people freaking out (although it is inevitable) because they didn't get what they want in the game.

Agreed! Inevitably I can see people freaking out. I can absolutely see hopes ruined as it is someone like Victor, instead of "MoustacheMan". So yeah I'm worried as well that fans will quit cause they're hopes were up and got crushed.
People will allways freak out because you can please everyone... Telltale should make what they think it's a good story and don't be too influenced rom what fans what... If they did that nobody would die and there wouldn't be any awesomeness in the game because it would be borring to play a zombie apocalypse where no one dies... Oh and also if they followed some fans Lee would just rebirth and have superman power's...

Remember when everyone saw Nick in the Episode 1 trailer and everyone said "IT'S KENNY!" and "HE'S STILL ALIVE!" and "THE STACHE LIVES!" and then it turned out to be Nick and we were disappointed for about ten seconds before continuing on with the game because there were much more interesting things happening?
I think the same will happen here, no matter who it is, there'll be more important things to discuss once Episode 2 is out.
They will mostly likely will put it's not like TT will ever listen to them.

I'll be pretty irritated if its not someone from season 1, though really with the amount of emphasis on it it should really be Kenny/ Lilly.
However I do hope if its Lilly people dont freak out because she is just as good a reveal as Kenny at the point.
I fear what I may do if it's not Kenny.

I'm also concerned that people will freak out if it is Kenny and he acts like a bastard (which he did honestly for most of the story) I really hope the writers dont make him the new Daryl and due to fandom make him a perfect character with no faults whatsoever

Why would TT make us choose whether to give the dying man water or not? It has to be relevant and as much as i hate to say it, don't rule him our being the person Clem thought was dead
Since the end trailer I haven't stopped freaking out.

Me, then and now:
Does it even make sense though? Assuming that the group in the "Next Time on the Walking Dead" preview was an entirely new group, then it is very unlikely that the mystery character is going to be the dying man as he was riddled with bullet wounds, surrounded by Walkers and he could barely speak bringing about the possibility that he succumbed to his wounds or devoured by the surrounding Walkers/Lurkers.
Now if the mountain group in the Episode 2 Preview turns out to be Carver's Group, then the chances of him being the mystery character just drop to zero in my opinion because of the fact that it is easy to assume that it was Carver who ordered the mass shooting, meaning that if Victor was alive, why would we go back to the group who's leader just tried to kill him and why would Carver let him live rather than just killing him to make sure he dies.
