Was Carver the leader of Russell's group? Was he a part of the cabin group?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

During the second episode, we could see Carver saying that he was looking for a group of SEVEN persons. But the cabin group are only made of six persons (Rebecca, Alvin, Carlos, Sarah, Nick, Luke). Carver didn't said nothing about Pete, so I think he joined the cabin group later.

When Russell is talking with Nate, he talked about a guy named Steve, who had something with the number SEVEN. The 7th person of the cabin group could be Russell and he quited.

"Oh, but Carver's name is not Steve!"

If you ask his name when he is visiting Clementine, he also lies about it..

What do you think?

Actually he mentioned Pete referring to him as "an old man".

I actually thought that it was Russell's group but I quickly disregarded it. Carver's real name is apparently William? But Rebecca called him Bill. Neither of those are Steve.

Edit: Oh I never knew Bill was short for William. Sorry about that :D

Bill is pretty much the diminutive of William.
I agree with you by the way.
