Can't really remember the key choices but just try to be as unselfish and helpful to everyone, and give up when asked to
Alvin you have to click Protect Alvin(At least thats what I did and he lived)

Walter the balding man with red shirt dies no matter what
Matthew the hooded asian man on the bridge dies no matter what
Nick survives if you tell Walter that Nick is a good guy.
You should stick with the choices you made the first time! It'll be more enjoyable in the end, but, if you insist...
To save Nick: Tell Walter he's a good guy.
To save Carlos: Do something about the hostage situation.
To save Alvin: Stop Kenny from shooting/Tackle Carver.
Carlos is easy, if you don't pick giving up or going to Kenny, Carver slits his throat. So Carlos' death is easy to avoid. Alvin's is the most common, as far as I know you have to give up then choose the "Protect Alvin" choice. And you can save Nick by telling Walter he is a good man. That's about it.
So when it comes to Carlos you surrender?
Did anybody not surrender if so could you tell me what happened when you go look for Luke and Kenny?

Yes. But I may be wrong, I think if you just pick nothing at all Carlos dies. But you might wanna surrender just in case.
No he doesn't he'll still be alive. Only if you stay silent about it
If you go look for Luke and Kenny, Clem slips out and finds Kenny. Luke is nowhere to be found. Alvin and Rebecca get discovered and captured. Kenny shoots Johnny as usual, and Carver executes Walter. After that, Kenny wants to shoot Carver when he comes out with Alvin as a human shield. If you let Kenny take the shot, Carver executes Alvin. If you tell him not to, he surrenders and both of you get captured.
False. Carlos doesn't die if you sneak out.
Sorry I will edit that. I just suspected that he would because Rebecca and Alvin wouldn't show themselves.
What if you dont choose not to shoot carvers will they still be captured
Old thread, I know. But my experience with telltale (and the walking dead series) so far is that if you save someone, they die later on anyway
Carlos can't die, the only difference really made in the hostage situation is that if you surrender Carlos doesn't get as many fingers broken.
Edit:/ if you choose to be silent and do nothing Rebecca eventually gives up and reveals where you all are hiding.
