Do you think there is any hope for a happy ending?

  • explain to me how that "bittersweet" ending gonna be like?

  • If they're going into the cold in the hope the walkers get slow, my money's on somebody getting pneumonia or some other virulent "old-world" infection. I also expect the group to be driven into two by the power struggle that's always present and Clem having to choose which to go with. The group she goes with will probably encounter the other half brutally murdered by Carver shortly after, which would be in equal measure, "Thank God I didn't go with them after all," and "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

  • I have a feeling in the end Clem will be alone again... That may not be a good thing.

  • Hopefully if someone like Carlos is with them they would catch symptoms of disease. And I agree there will have to be a decision between groups/Kenny and Luke. I don't think there's really a way around that, which sucks.

  • The best I'm hoping for is that Clem is alive and not alone. Hopefully either with Luke or Kenny.

  • Maybe she'll end up in Wellington alone and find Christa at the end? Pretty unlikely, but it would be bittersweet.

  • I think this song (and this thread) will answer all your questions.

  • From a previous thread, I think Sarita or Luke is a much worse choice to make, as losing Sarita will tip Kenny into full-blown despair, or insanity, symptoms of which he is already exhibiting.

I could see either Kenny or Luke, but the way they've been setting it up, I think there will be a decision between the both of them at the end, which is what I'm really dreading.

  • There probably won't be a happy ending, and judging by the whole 'depression and sadness' theme of Season 2(Title screen, etc.), it seems it's not even going to be a bittersweet ending, just a really depressing one.

  • That's so true.

I really hope so! A piece of me died in the final meeting between Clem and Lee

  • I try to hope, I have an awesome storyboard, and if they kill off Clem...my storyboard goes down the shitter.

  • It's not really a happy ending until the zombie apocalypse gets cured.

  • There is no happy ending for me without Nick, Luke or Kenny...

I don't think it will be happy but neither do I think it will just be a re-run of season 1 with Clem dying.

Lee's arc was pretty much foreshadowed from the start. Troubled past. Has done bad things. Disconnected from family. Redeems himself through connection with Clementine. Ultimately sacrifices himself to save her.

If Clem dies everything becomes meaningless. I think we'll see her having come through hell and looking at an uncertain future. I'm not necessarily expecting anyone else to survive, though.

  • I think Clem will be alone again at the end of episode 5. She will loose everyone she loved again. :(

I want there to be happy ending with Kenny or Luke with Clementine in Wellington but I doubt that will happen, there could be a really mysterious ending where she arrives in Wellington alone to discover everyone is dead and there is no food or shelter except one building. She goes into the building finding nothing but a piece of paper saying turn back , losing all hope she grabs her gun and points it at her head then the screen goes blank and instead of a gunshot, you hear a door opening and Clementine gasping as if she has seen something shocking then finally the credits roll. (or something similar to this I don't know, :/ )

Nope. No happy endings. Of all the characters who have been introduced so far this season, i don't think any of them will survive besides maybe clementine. There is never a happy ending in TWD universe. Its misery porn.

  • At some point, there will have to be, as we are closing in the cure of zombies in the show (maybe 1-2 season away), so someday we will get a happy ending. Hope Kenny will be alive to see it.

  • I just hope it won't be as bad as season 1.

There will only be a cure if Robert Kirkman writes it into his comics as Telltale can't deviate from the source meterial too much.

Hopefully the can do the happiest ending possible but in The Walking Dead univese there isn't much hope left :(

  • Kirkman has jokingly floated the idea of aliens being the cause of the zombie virus as a method of exterminating humans so they can claim the planet. I stopped reading the comic a long time ago, but that would be serious lulz if he took that direction.

Yea we will probably meet Lee's wife too lol

  • You cant find happiness in your life, do you?

I hope not, I absolutely despise happy endings. I want them to be as miserable, dark and brutal as they possibly can.

  • In WD world... there is .. very... little... hope.

  • She will never lose hope.

What have you done guys... now my eyes watered, and small tears are heading down my face

Damn... I love this series like a dying man loves air, and I would hate to have it just once.

  • I refuse to allow this world to prove Nick right. My Clem will fight tooth and nail to earn her happy ending.

  • So will mine. She's just gotta find something to fight for other than herself.

Do you have a link to it by chance? I can't seem to find it.

  • I figure we'll get a choice between sacrificing the remaining survivors to save Clementine, or sacrifice her to save them. (Whoever is left at the end).

  • Oh wow I didn't even think of this. This is genius and cruel at the same time, and it's causing me anxiety just thinking about it haha. I'd probably just shut my computer right away and resort to option three:

  • Yeah, me too. It's the perfect cruel ending. In both endings we lose Clementine but in different ways.

  • It's probably going to be depressing. I mean it's The Walking Dead and Telltale. Now, I wonder if they can make it even more depressing than the first one

  • To be fair though, there were two determinant lives in the latest Episode. Also, is there any way they can show not-death other than being alive? I mean, they brought Kenny back,
