Why do people want to support Carver?
Now I get it, he's a great villain...But have you people not been paying attention to pretty much everything he's been doing and I darn doodly just do not get it. How is this the kinda guy you want raising our Clem? Lee would be ashamed.
He's willing to travel days just to forcibly kidnap the pregnant woman he has an obsession with, and presumably raped. Even if he didn't, she clearly did not want to be with him. He's killed members of your group and doesn't even feel any shame in it. Let's not forget him gut punching Clem.
Worst of all...You crazy people adore him! It's not like Kenny where it's a grey area, hell even the
Lily-Lovers make more sense than Carver-Cravers! The guy is evil, pure evil. May the spirit of Lee guide you on the right path, whether with the ever crazy Kenny or the less crazy but suspicious Luke, don't be a Carver-Craver!

I have a theory, maybe people get confused because of his godlike Mustache. We learned in the past that a godlike Mustache is a symbol of loyality and safety. But in that case that might not be the truth!
I'm not one of these people, personally. Carver is on my profile image because I like the look of it. I'll be the devil's advocate here for some of the points you made.
He wasn't planning on killing anybody, he retaliated for Johnny's death. Had Kenny surrendered, they all would've been alive. There's another thing with Alvin, he killed a man named George "because [Alvin] didn't like [Carver]", so there is some justificiation for it.
You can avoid getting Clem gut-punched. While I can't exactly justify his actions here, this isn't a necessary outcome.
As of people that adore him, well, I don't know. U mad bros?
Fair enough I suppose, although I still think the whole fact he is chasing these people down to kidnap a pregnant lady / make sure they can't escape, says enough about him being a 'pleasant man'.
When pure stache' met pure stache'...Kenny V Carver...battle of the facial godlyhood!
Yea, but we have to remember that Kennys godlike Stache evolved already a long time ago...Carver doesn't stand a chance!
I like him because he isn't just a murderous villain who is just out to kill you and all your friends. He recaptured the cabin group and is willing to let them back into his community. Not saying he isn't all bad as he is very obviously ruthless. I'm excited to see how the next episode plays out.
People who like the carver plot twist theory dont like the Cliche psychotic villain leader scenario ( i.e.: There not that much different about Negan and The Governor and Carver seems like a mild weak version of them). They dont want to support carver they just want a complex character if anything and it would be a huge plot twist.
We also dont know the full story behind the cabin group just yet. There are bits and hints that there's more to their past.
No contest.
She ran away with the only family he has in that apocalyptic world.
Exactly, what really stands out to me, is once Carlos and Rebecca get back with Nick, Luke, and Alvin, Sarah mentions that Carver stopped by and everyone starts panicking, but one of the thing Sarah mentions about her father. "You're not going to hurt anyone are you Dad?" and Luke says "Your father is one of the nicest men I know Sarah, and he won't do anything that's not nice." And Carlos looks at Luke and back to Sarah and tells her "These people will say or do anything to hurt us." It feels like Carlos may have lost his cool some time ago when they were with Carver.
Some people like Carver because he has been decidedly fair with his actions. He is angry that the cabin group left because he's down several bodies, Rebecca might be carrying a child he cares about, they likely ran away with supplies, Carlos being a doctor makes it important to bring him back, and so forth. Even if Carver is nasty and brutish, he has practical reasons for bringing some of the cabin group back. On top of this, Carver is not stupid. He knows how to scout and, as evidenced by his ability to quickly recognize the positioning of the chess table, he is tactical and calculating.
After the altercation at the lodge, he shows himself to be very forgiving and fair. He kills Walt after Kenny kills one of his guys. Eye for an eye - not morally sound, depending on your standpoint, but it certainly is tit-for-tat. If you decide to push Kenny and have him take a shot at Carver while he is holding Alvin hostage, he returns the favor by shooting Alvin. If you don't seek out Kenny and stand-in for Alvin, Carver will recognize the bravery. Even after all is said and done, he doesn't go slaughtering everyone. Even though Kenny killed one of his guys, he doesn't kill Kenny - nor does he kill anyone for any arbitrary or personal reason.
You explained it perfectly, and I totally agree.
And breaking two of Carlos's fingers and beating the shit out of him in front of his horrified, crying daughter was justified because......
....Carver hated his ass. Carlos probably did something bad as hinted by Luke. It was just personal business, nothing more.

I just want to know what it is that Clem has managed to get involved in. Carver never answered any of my questions that would have given pertinent information (why shouldn't I trust the cabin crew? what is he after? stuff like that). Of course, the cabin crew is just as guilty. No matter how many times I asked, they have yet to give a clear answer. They either ask me to trust them, or brush it off for someone else to explain. Both sides are shady if you ask me. Personally, when the crew went north, I would have preferred Clem headed west or something for a few days. Just drop the whole mess entirely, as neither side seems to trust her.

Don't forget +you
Carver also wants to rape you, in case you didn't know.
When I saw you username, I instantly realise that you are aimed to get the most amount of down votes this year.
Well if she doesn't want to be with him that is entirely her own choice though.
I neither like nor support Carvers decisions but he definitely has a interesting personality. I do think we as Clementine have to be careful so we dont get manipulated by his illusive charms...
Not to mention that Carver also killed Walt with the intention of ending the standoff-saving more lives in the long run.
I'm on the fence about both Carver and the cabin crew. They've both done things to be worried about, and Clem shouldn't trust either of them at this point. (Kenny has my Clem a little worried too, in fact.) But we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out in episode 3.
I don't like Carver as I see him as a Governor type person, just a typical villain. I hope he dies in the next episode and then Nate comes back to the game and he gets to be the next bad guy, he's more interesting by far!
Agreed, Nate as a character is more interesting than Carver.
Nate would be a good beer buddy too! lol but I think Clem would probably find him offensive.
Michael madsen is a badass. I wish he was in the tv show.
She'll probably blow him off and tell him to "be nicer" XD
Loyalty, maybe, safety?
Lee in the sewers in episode 4 would like to disagree
I just love Carver because i think Telltale have done a great job with his character and casting Michael Madsen as his voice actor!
Damn, doesn't mean i actually want him to be around Clem..... I'm complementing Telltale not Carver!
What did Kenny have to do with Lee beeing in the sewers in episode4?
....Kenny is the reason that him and Lee stayed for a long time by the shore, hence why they got into a situation where Lee was trapped.
He could prove to be more in-depth than we think. I really don't see him turning out to be a stereotypical villain.
I wouldn't be so amazed at Michael Madsen being the voice for Carver, Madsen has done voice acting for video games before.
theres no way carver's stache even beats kenny's stache kenny's even evolved into a beard, carver's stache doesn't even shine
What gives him the right to rob free people of their home? What justification has he to just come along, kidnap a bunch of people and force them to live in his community? Even if the cabin group wronged him in the past, that doesn't mean he can hold them prisoner or something.

How would killing Walt save more lives?? The dude just sat there while Carver blew his brains out, man.
