Once Season 2 is completed........

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

So once Season 2 is completed telltales gonna take a year for the confirmation of Season 3?How long did they take on Season 2? I hope they'll Confirm Season 3 after Tales from borderlands and game of thrones.

Comments

  • i think it might take longer than a year to be confirmed this time sadly since there are 2 new games on the way :(

  • I can see it being a 1-2 year break between season 2 and Season 3. Much as I hate to admit it.

  • I hope they don't so quickly, trying to get them to look over my storyboard.

  • I have a feeling there won't be a S3 unless they suddenly need more money :(

Unfortunately they have TFTBL and GOT coming out in the meantime (which I have no and mild interest in respectively)

  • me too

  • Probably need to see where/how season 2 goes...

Love Clementine, but I worry Season 3 would be wearing things out. Then again, I really need to see how Season 2 goes, but right now I'm feeling "I loved this story, it was a lot of fun, but now it's over" - that's a lot better than "wow, this really jumped the shark..."

Of course, they could always hand it off again (or another time jump - it could be good to see Clementine coming onto her own as a young adult.) On the one hand, Telltale seems to be wanting to try new stories here and there, on the other, The Walking Dead is their most successful franchise so they might give it another season.

I was hoping they confirmed it right away. It would take a long time for S3 to come out anyway, considering all the other games they're making...

  • You never know if they'll even be a season 3. Depending on how they end season 2, will give us a good idea if they will have a season 3. But if they do have one planned out, I think it would be a year or more till they confirm it.

  • With 2 games on the way,i think it will be more than an year...GAH!!!I ALREADY WANT THE THIRD SEASON AND SEASON 2 ISN'T EVEN OUT!!This is what Telltale does to you.It makes you want more and more and more...It's an addiction.

  • It will be longer than a year since 2 new games are set for next year, but there will be a 3rd season.

  • No way there cannot be a S3 ...

  • People also need to remember there must be some sort of a time skip in the comics for S3 to happen. It is implied though, so that's good news.

Once Season Two ends I'll probably be that FUBAR that I'll need to go into the mountains and live in a cave until a carrier pigeon arrives bearing news of Season Three.

Only then will I be able to be a part of society once again. I dread the day in which the credits roll at the end of the finale.

Yes, i totally agree with you! Season1 and Season2 had been perfect so far (and i am pretty damn sure that the next 3 episodes of Season2 will be perfect aswell), but there has to be a point when the story ends. End it when it's at it best, end before it is getting worse... I don't won't this amazing game series " The Walking Dead " to turn into something like " The Simpsons ". A series that was excellent in the past, but is just unfunny trash nowadays.

  • Although it pains me to say it, a slightly longer break between seasons 2 and 3 might be a good thing. Only so that Kirkman can keep the comics rolling for a year or two and advance the time line. Then, assuming it's their plan, they could launch a season 3 that's further into the ZA with potentially a 15-16 year old Clem. Thus once again changing the whole play style again.

  • In either case I want a "Christa and Clem during 16 months skip" DLC!

I would prefer a " Kennys awsome adventures, after he escaped Savannah." DLC!

  • That would be too much. 13-14 for S3 and 15-16 for S4 would work better.

It hurts to agree with this, but you might be right. Although I hope they won't make as big of a time skip. Jumping to a 15-16 year old Clem might be a little much. As long as I know they're going to make Season Three, I'll live. It's just that the wait will be agonizing. I'm a bigger fan of 'The Walking Dead' universe than the other current and future projects that Telltale is working on, so I don't know what I'll play in the mean time. 'The Last of Us' is pretty good, but it's already over. And there's no way in hell I'm going to play AMC's 'Survival Instinct'. I cringed when my friend bought that.

  • I believe there will be a Season 3 but the earliest we would see it is late Fall 2015 at the very earliest.

  • Once Season 2 is completed I'll make a machine that will let me sleep for 1 or 2 years

  • You're probably right, but on the bright side, we'll have two new games to play. :)

I'm really looking forward to Game of Thrones. That's another great book/show series like TWD.

  • Damn...that's a billion dollar idea you got there! Thousands of desperate Telltale fans around the world would pay good money for one of these machines!

  • It may be a long fucking while, but Season 3 will surely come, especially when Season 2 gets Telltale a shit ton of money and great fucking feedback.

  • The story can't end on season 2 it's just too damn good to end....'sniff'
