Played it once, don't plan on playing it again unless it's for unlocking shit. The story isn't as great as people make it out to be and overall, just an overrated game.
I'm going to betray my age here, but I suppose number 1 for me would be spoiler Aeris's death. I know I got really emotional watching somebody play Metal Gear Solid when Gray Fox died. Then again, I was completely smashed, and I tend to cry when I'm drunk (which is a bad sign...)

5.Shepard's Death (Mass Effect 3)- I chose the Synthesis ending so it was the sad music with flashbacks of your crew, Shepard disintegrating. Say what you will about the ending but the death got to me.

7.John Marston's Sacrifice (Red Dead Redemption)- We needed more Dead-Eye, godammit.
8.Joker (Arkham City)- It was the end of an era and it was a disease that took him out. Not a gun, explosion or fire. A disease.

Yeah it happens if you fail to know where Shawn is and also if Madison and Norman don't find the place where he is. Ethan either hangs himself in prison, or he shoots himself when visiting Shawn's grave with Madison. The first time I played it, I got that scenario. I've played it a few times since and got different endings. That's what so good about the game. I'm currently playing Beyond Two Souls, which is a great game, but, didn't beat Heavy Rain in my opinion.

I love both but beyond is not as good decisions have less effect, nearly impossible to fail, more cutscenes etc. The first time you played it got that ending lol I feel awful for you play whole game and get that depressing end.

It was his face what broke me! The animation there was gorgeous oh my god I'm getting misty eyed just remembering that aaah it was so, so touching. Best moment so far.
