What is more upsetting in an apocalypse?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

Seeing someone you're close to get murdered by bandits/other people? Or seeing them get bit/eaten by walkers? Explain!

Personally I'd rather just be shot in the head than eaten alive. I'm going to assume that's a universal thing, as being horrifically torn to shreds doesn't seem like something anyone would enjoy. So yeah, if the bandits are gonna be quick about it, always the bandits.

Edit: Seeing them eaten by walkers would be worse in my opinion, just to clarify.

  • Agreed.

  • Seeing someone get murdered by bandits/others obviously!

Walkers don't know what they are doing, they are breandead Zombies that just act instinctly. People on the other Hand, know exactly what they are doing!

Depends on who they're murdered by, why, and how. Being eaten by walkers is a pretty horrific way to go though. I mean, you're getting your insides torn out, so I guess I'll go with that being the more upsetting death.

  • The sad thing is... I'll get eaten anyway. It wouldn't matter that much but....

  • The difference is a quick and clean death or a horrific and excruciatingly painful one though. Once you're dead you won't feel either.

  • Usually only the most fucked up people become bandits, So it depends.

True, I was just thinking of it in terms of how much pain the victim would suffer. Both are awful for different reasons if you'd ask me.
It certainly is tragic to be killed by a person though, in the ZA humanity should be looking out for each other, not causing more deaths and conflict through disagreements, faction rivalry, fear, etc.

  • I agree with you. Still, I would always wonder if I were to die, would I come back as a walker? Even if some bandit kills me, chances are I'll get eaten by a group of walkers anyway. It's not a pretty picture it's all I'm saying.

  • I think both scenarios would have different feelings. Like seeing someone getting eaten by a walker would make me depressed and seeing someone getting killed by another person would make me mad.

  • Certainly isn't, and yeah you'll probably be eaten or at least picked at either way. If not by walkers then by scavenging animals and insects. It's gonna be nasty for your body either way.

  • Bandits. You can't blame walkers. They are just doing what nature programmed the disease to do.
