Rick is okay, but I like Lee more. He fought through an entire herd just to save Clem while he was on the verge of death just because he loved her like his own daughter.
Lee. Rick's group (and Rick in particular) had it relatively easy for several months into the apocalypse. Like come on, Rick even woke up a month into the apocalypse and lucks out enough to find his wife and kid alive in a group of friendly survivors. Lee had it really rough by comparison. By the time that Rick visited Herschel's farm and then found the prison, Lee had been stalked by cannibals, terrorized and driven out of his home by bandits, and had most his group die horrible deaths right in front of him.
Sorry for typing so much, I just constantly consider the hardship's endured by Lee and Rick in their considered amount of time. Lee took a crash course in surviving the apocalypse, while Rick was given a handbook and 2 semesters to prepare...
Again, completely unfair question... I affect how Lee would act; Rick is completely out of my control... Obviously my Lee is more tailored to my tastes; had he made other decisions I might feel differently. Conversely, Rick made decisions different than I would have (though I can't think of any off the top of my head), had I had been able to steer him he might be more sympathetic even than Lee...
I'd say that comic Rick is an even more extreme version of Lee who is willing to do even more brutal things in order to save his son. But TV Rick is just a wimp right now.
Whats with the downvotes? I'm taking it some people annoyed with Goust for other things and just downvoting everything he does now. Because if you can downvote the street scene for any other reason I would be ashamed.

Lee, easily. Simply because Lee is one of the best protagonists in a video game yet, hes charasmatic, distinct, and we can relate to him while we spiral from a nice guy to quite a mean, vicious character. Also, hes easily the best black main character in video games. He's not a steryotype unlike many black characters in games unfortunately but yet they also do bring up his race at times so hes not just black by design.

His love for his son is comparable to Lee's love for Clementine. Both are willing to do anything in order to keep them safe. It's just that Rick has done even more things to protect Carl, even biting someone's throat. That is something Lee never did/didn't have the chance to do.
I'd say that comic Rick is an even more extreme version of Lee who is willing to do even more brutal things in order to save his son. But TV Rick is just a wimp right now.
Rick has the upper hand before we even meet him. He was a cop, he's given this advantage, we see he was a gun-toting enforcer in his former life, and it's obvious why he's the protagonist. He's protagonist "material." But Lee was just a university professor, and he fought his way to become the unstoppable, determined, passionate badass.
When you first meet Lee, handcuffed in the backseat of a police car, did you really think you'd see him tear through an entire horde of zombies by himself, one-armed and dying, just to protect a little girl? I didn't, but the natural progression he made to the point was very fluid and very real.
I like Lee because he gives me the hope that an average person, a person with nothing but booksmarts and flaws, a person like me, can be just as strong as that.
To be fair, Rick was shot in the leg as well right before that brawl. As well as he had a still recovering broken hand due to him beating down Tyreese to the point he broke his wrist after Carol killed Karen and David.
Gotta admit, i have to change my choice to a strong Rick after seeing the latest episode from the TV show (S04E16).
There isnt anything this man wouldnt do to protect his son (as seen in this episode), lets not kid ourselves, he's been in more life threatening situations than Lee ever did, and always came trough impossible odds and showed what a badass he is.
My only dissapointment in him was when he got his ass handled by Governor as if he was a wet noodle, which was around the time where i picked Lee for this question, but the more i've see of him the more i've realized that i was wrong.
Season 4 is vaslty superior to the others by the way, the show has improved alot from the shitty seasons that was 2-3..
I was far more attached to Lee - he wasn't really anyone special, just a history teacher who made some mistakes and more or less tries to atone through protecting Clementine at any cost. And, well, even in death I think Lee did a better job of that than Rick has done with Carl. :S
The scene where Lee cuts through the walker horde in episode 5 is one of my favourite scenes in any game just because of how much weight it holds for Lee's character. He's only known this girl a few months, but he'd do literally anything for her.
