Who is Troy?

I believe that it was initially his model that was used as a placeholder when clementine opened the door for the strange man. I keep seeing his name being mentioned but idk who he is or why people care about him if we have not heard a word from him. Is he an original comic book character? Someone please enlighten me so I can be on board.

    This guy. He is with Carver and was one of the people with him when attacking the ski lodge.

    He's the guy with Carver and Bonnie in Episode 2 and I think Telltale just used him in the Trailer first to trick us and keep us wondering who Carver really is, Some people even assumed he was Kenny.

    To be fair at least one person suggested every middle aged white guy where you couldn't see the face was Kenny
