How should it end?

  • My Little Ponies comes and saves everyone.

  • Should end with a cliffhanger in Wellington then a small little window pops up and says "Don't worry there'll be more Clem for 5 more seasons"

  • I don't care how, as long as Clem is alive and there'll be more seasons.

  • Clem just arriving in Wellington and everyone is dead and she hears a voice and you don't see the character but it sounds like Christa then its a cliffhanger.

  • Clementine arriving at the hilltop community.( I don't know why I just think that that would be freaking awesome.)

  • If it actually IS the last season of TWD I want it to end on a hopeful note. Clementine arrives at Wellington and she hears a familiar voice, like what ChristaClem said above. :) If they continue (which I really hope and believe they will) then it will end a bit like how Glenn's group from the show closes off an episode arriving at Terminus. Clem enters Wellington and is greeted by a new character. players are left to wonder what will happen to Clem until season 3.

  • Clem arriving in Wellington. Safely. And then something happening to lead to season 3

  • If there is a season 3, I would LOOOVE it to be like this. Clem sees a figure in the distant. You run over and it fades to black. Then you hear, "Clementine?!" from Christa.

  • Clem and Bigby beat the ever loving shit out of the killer

  • IN A HAIL OF BULLETS......personally i like what others having been suggesting - you get to Wellington and there's a figure in the distance - screen blacks out. Then in season 3 it's not actually Christa.

Wishful thinking - you get to Wellington and Molly is there with Christa.

  • hell no

  • Lee, carley, ben, and omid magically come back to life and live happily ever after.
Too bad that will never happen.....

  • I DON'T want the cliffhanger ending where Clem reaches Wellington alone, and we see/hear someone that we're convinced is Christa. I've mentioned this before, but I feel like that's a cop-out story wise. It would make all the events and characters in season 2 seem meaningless, as we'd be in pretty much the same situation we were in at the beginning of the season, except in Wellington.

I would like an ending that makes us think of what will come next, but also leaves us satisfied for right now. So we could still have a continuing story into season 3, but if they ended it after season 2, it would still be a complete story without any major loose ends.

In contrast to last season, I would really like to see Clem make it out alive with a group, even a small one. Maybe they're still on the move and haven't found a safe place, but they're a tight-knit group that works well together and cares about each other. I would actually prefer that to her finding a safe community by herself at the end of this season. I just want her to be with people who care about her, and who she has/will be with for more than just a few months.

  • A standoff between who remains with Clementine and an unknown assailant along with his group, and all of a sudden you see Christa with them. You both make eye contact and Christa whispers, "Clementine...is that you?"

  • If Clementine ever dies... I will actually cry a river's worth. In fact, there should be a telltale river that has all of the people who've played the telltale games cry in it to make it into a flowing river or people can donate their tears by sending in buckets of it after every tragic death in their games.

If it ends like that... I think I might cry as much as I would if Kenny officially dies.

  • I... honestly don't know. I don't envy Breckon right now, having to come up with a satisfactory ending to this one. As I've said before, I'd like something along the lines of TLOU's ending: Bleak, yet hopeful; not just misery porn.

I have a question for you all. Do you consider a "happy" ending to be an inherently bad one for this series? Seems like Kirkman does. What kind of ending would make for both a satisfying, strong conclusion and a hopeful one at the same time? No Time Left left us in tears and we now praise as a tragic, yet great finale. Must it all completely go to hell for Clementine and company for it to resonate strongly with us?

  • Yes, that would be good.

Technically, depending on how you see it, No Time Left also showed Clementine as a symbol of hope. She is safe from The Stranger's grasp, she gets to live, and she gets to go on and find Omid and Christa who'll be meeting her at the train (or with the boats, depending on your earlier choices). I'd say that's pretty bittersweet.

What I'm afraid of is that Season 2 would end on the same note. It worked for Season 1 because that bittersweet ending leaves us with something to hope for as we anticipate a continuation in a brighter future - on other words, a sequel hook. But for Season 2, I want something stronger, something that would leave me with an impact - not necessarily a negative impact too, mind you.

I don't know. I just think that Telltale has a great opportunity to exploit the potentials here, to make us feel that things are really coming to a head for Clementine as we wait for the final instalment of Clem's story that might be rounded up with a third instalment, making it a trilogy (as do most great stories do).

  • Clem arrives in Wellington, finds it abandoned. Exhausted, she collapses onto the ground until she hears a voice. Looking up, she finds a character from Rick's group.
Then we all go out and buy the next issue of the comic.

Oh, I know that's also why the ending worked and is not just dismissed as shock value and misery porn (gosh I love that word). We gave our everything and died as Lee... so that our girl could live to fight another day. Nothing else mattered as much in that finale, and that left me satisfied. We lost so much, yet accomplished one truly worthwhile goal.

I, too, want to leave S2 surprised, maybe shocked, feeling something strong; if I knew how, I'd write it better than S1's final moments... but I do not know how. Who knows? Maybe Telltale will prove Kirkman wrong by the end of all this; This is the Walking Dead, and things can get better. Then again, they can prove him right.

I'd also like to have S2 end in a way that it leaves room for a possible Season 3, yet still feels completely rounded up, not that many loose ends. Let it be and end its own story, and if they can continue with Clem (Or the series, overall. No guarantee Clem gets out of this one :(.), let them do it in their own time; if they can't, let it end on a high note. I don't want to end S2 with a cliffhanger episode and a note telling me to buy S3.

As I said, not a position I'd like to be in, myself. I honestly wish the best of the luck the strongest of inspirations to Nick. He'll need them both, and our girl's fate is hanging in his hands. No pressure. :D
