"boring generic psychopath" Sounds like you've haven't heard about her urban legend then... If you didn't you're so lucky you didn't piss your pants when you were a kid hearing about her....
So far, I'm not impressed with the character. Just a boring generic psychopath. Didn't find her very threatening, more desperately trying to… more come off as threatening. I really dug the episode, had a lot of the best moments in the series for me so far, until she showed up... Too much posturing and not enough actually vicious.
She looked Tasty in Glamour form but I'm sure if she wasn't glamoured when we saw her we would have a much different opinion on her. But while that glamour remains I will forever be seduced by the pyschotic Bosh tet
During these 3 episodes, I've been a fairly nice wolf. I didn't rip Gren's arm off, nor did I burn the tree or kill Dee/Dum. But as soon as I confront that hoe, I'm killing her dead and I'll enjoy the shit out of that
I looked her up on the Fables Wiki but found no info so I'm guessing she doesn't exist in the comics. BTW, does this story begin after the events from the comics or is this a period of time taken from the comic story? Props to the designers of her character as they nailed the psychotic look perfectly. Some of the other facial animation for other characters have been a little suspect, but that's just nitpicking. This has been the best episode so far and I like the fact that they finally show how badass Bigby really is.
Yeah, that whole bit with Dee... "What's that thing the mundies call me?" to get him to say "Bloody Mary" was probably the most ham-fisted introduction I've ever seen. She's pretending she "forgot" what people call her? Really?? ::eye roll::
She definitely is meant to be one, but I don't like how it was introduced.
I didn't know the comic before the game, and Bluebeard made me… more shit my pants with his calm voice and thinly veiled threats.
Bloody Mary going all "I killed tons of people and I loved it, I have a junkie look and I use swear words" does the work of establishing her character in less than two minutes, but lacks the subtlety that would have made her introduction really powerful.

I'm not a fan of Telltale's Bloody Mary as of Episode 3, though I'm hoping that the next episode will change my mind.
Her introduction scene made her come across as a generic, cliché, and cocky psychopath who tries way too hard to be threatening with her constant and ham-fisted monologues. Her power that what makes her Bloody Mary to begin with doesn't make an appearance, meaning that she could have easily been replaced by another character.
I'm looking forward to her being a recurring villain and seeing what her powers entail. Just throwing another big powerhouse like Grendel or Woody at us again wouldn't be nearly as intimidating.
Yes, I am familiar with the legend and was as a kid. They could have made her actually threatening and they didn't. I was talking about the dialog they had her spew. It was boring and generic. Here they have a powerful and potentially frightening character and they dropped the ball. Just my opinion.
Though I never found the myth scary, even as a kid. I was way to into horror movies and the effects tricks, this is going back to the age of 5 or 6, for a simple exercise in Troxler's effect to be anything more than an interesting experiment... I actually would have laughed at anyone who did piss their pants over that story.

Fable's strength is tied to mundy belief in them. Yeah, Bloody Mary is a relatively well known myth but nowhere near the level of The Big Bad Wolf.
Looking glass divination and seeing ghosts or dead relatives in mirrors, which Bloody Mary is a form of, is old but her specific legend only started being recorded by folklorists in the 70s and the earliest example is from the mid-1960s. There's no way she's nearly as strong as Bigby because of the relative age of her myth alone. No chance.
I totally forgot about that, but she's kind of cheating, when someone says her name five times she actually shows up making more kids believe in her, that fucking Bitch, but she still pretty in glamour Doe.

I hate her. I think they completely flopped her presentation. She's clearly supposed to be this intimidating, unpredictable wild card antagonist who raises the stakes from the relatively harmless villains so far, but to me she just comes off as a pretentious sociopath with a lame sense of humor and a skewed perspective of how she appears to others. It's as if the writers really, really wanted to throw a Joker archetype in there somewhere, and then plain forgot to give her intelligent dialogue. I actually facepalmed when she openly started monologuing - and clumsily at that - about who she was, hoping it would intimidate Bigby.
Don't get me wrong, she's a very realistic take on a genuinely crazy woman who acts tough and tries to look as though she's always in control, and a breath of fresh air from the 'perfect stone-cold psycho killer' Hollywood stereotype. She's just impossible to take seriously as a threat, and it feels cheap and forced when she drops Bigby with a single silver bullet and we're supposed to be impressed with her... I don't know... preparedness?
Her description gives her some genuinely horrifying abilities, but those weren't used in her introduction at all. Add to that that neither she nor her boss seem to be personally involved in the actual murders... I mean, what's the point of her? Now we're going to chase around after her for the entirety of the next episode just because she figured out to load a gun with a silver bullet, only to find that she's obviously just a red herring? Does that sound exciting to you? I love this game and I loved that scene, but I could do without the silly emphasis on BM.
She's a follower. She is no bad ass. She is given orders by Crooked Man. She is nothing but a girl with a silver bullet. Without that gun, she seems to be powerless to Bigby. I wish TWAU Bigby was like Comic book Bigby and turn into the actual Big Bad Wolf and just eat her, huff and puff her away, or just brutally kill her.
Meant to include that too... he really has a deck heavily stacked in his favor for almost all possible situations. I mean couldn't go toe to toe with The North Wind but that's about it.

Oh I see, and
That was just an expression, though, I had a friend once who did piss their pants... We never saw him again because he was bullied too much and he moved away

She is 'badass' but she was a huge bitch to bigby and snow. She stepped on bigbys arm and broke it. If snow haven't stepped in then bloody mary would've have cut bigbys head off.
Yes the deck is quite stacked for Bigby. Apparently he can't really die either, this is different from other popular Fables, I think Bigby gets stronger every time he comes back-this is due to him changing his own fate . The prophesy in the comics concerning Bigby, stated how many times he would die I can't remember the exact amount though (I think he has died 3 times in the comics so far. I'm not too sure though). Good point on the North Wind.
Meant to include that too... he really has a deck heavily stacked in his favor for almost all possible situations. I mean couldn't go toe to toe with The North Wind but that's about it.
She... could... turn out to be badass when we have a better idea of her abilities, but she quite simply doesn't have the raw charisma to be intimidating.

gotta kill dum he shot dude a dozen times
People use the term badass way too often, she's not a badass, she's a coward who obeys the crooked man.
I could not agree more. The only thing that stopped her from getting her head ripped off was a cheap silver bullet.
She has a tattoo on her arm, it glows red when she was breaking Bigby's arm

The fact that she's not in the comics implies that she is either killed or in hiding
I agree. I was already familiar with her story, so once she had the Tweedle say her name I was like... "Oh shit I am not winning this battle."

Uh Bloody Mary could beat him without weapons, but has a small chance.
Too good, she's too good. Fuck crooked man, she should be the main antagonist, she's too good to be CM's stooge.

Agreed, it feels like they're trying too hard.
Also, Bigby is a demi god.

You summed up pretty everything that I didn't like about Bloody Mary.
I want to see Bloody Mary without anything but her true powers. I know deep down in Bloody Mary is literally a Bloody Mary lol.
because she's on her period lol
My eyes rolled down my throat.
