Sarah Hamilton, the voice of April Ryan in "The Longest Journey", has had a whole lot of health issues in the past, including cancer and ongoing multiple sklerosis. Her back is acting up, too, with a completely extruded disc in 2010 that unfortunately makes ongoing operations necessary. And right now, right there - she can't shoulder it all alone any more.
If you're from one of the more civilized European countries, you probably have no idea what being seriously ill means in the USA. The entire cost of any treatment are yours to pay. If you get out of the hospital, the stress from seeing the bills alone can cause a relapse. So Sarah has started a crowd funding campaign to help her out at least a teensy bit.
