For guns, I'd go with anything small (Any handgun really) so it's easy to carry and conceal. For melee, I'd go with either a Crowbar (It's used for more than just killing), a machete (Can be carried easily with one hand), or a hatchet of some sort (Just not the ugly one that Clem uses. It's like a hammer/hatchet hybrid).

For taking down zombies in one-on-one combat? Smith & Wesson Model 500. If vast mobs of zombies were lurching towards me? GE M134 Minigun (Handheld).

...I kid, of course. I couldn't fire a water pistol without the recoil kicking my ass.
