I didn't go to waste. She's survived so long, and would have died without Lee. If she dies don't say it would just go to waste, she'll die eventually. I highly doubt that Clementine will die in season 2. Maybe if they'll make season 3 or even 4 but not in season 2. I mean... it's stupid to kill off main protagonist twice.
She's honestly the main reason I'm still into The Walking Dead. Reason why I didn't like 400 Days as much as previous episodes was because Lee and Clementine weren't in it. Lee's death was done excellently and it helped refine Clem into being a more powerful person. Killing her off makes no sense to me, unless Telltale want to literally kill off the franchise I don't see it happening.
For me, TWDG will always be Clem's story. Even in season 1, when we played as Lee, it was still Clem's story of learning how to survive and adapting to this new world.
So yeah, killing her off would be really dumb. There are plenty of other ways to bring shock value without killing off the main character.
They kind of did that with Lee already as well last season who was possibly the most important to Clementine outside of her own parents, even though Clementine wasn't the main playable character at that time. That had to been equally if not more traumatic of an experience and he died in front of her. If Clementine can live with herself after Lee and Omid dying (which she sort of inadvertently caused). I'm positive someone like Luke or Kenny might make her sad but not as sad as Lee or Omid both having witnessed die before her eyes. They will only kill off Clementine when they are through making this Walking Dead game series. Otherwise she will likely make it until she's a teenager at least. Because killing Clem from the game, would be like killing Rick from the comics or tv show. And killing Kenny from the game is kind of equivalent to killing Daryl from the TV show. Which I can see Kenny going way before Clementine.
I'd say no just to keep the repetition away. I'd rather they either just do something really traumatizing for Clem or kill off someone really important like Luke, Kenny, or anyone else infront of her face.
