Why don't TTG game contain keyboard support?

Why doesn't TTG games contain keyboard support and mouse in their video games like in the Sam and Max season 2 driving games. It would really be more convenient to use the keyboard to move and the mouse to click especially in the first episode of SBCG4AP.

I beg to differ. Especially after replaying Grim Fandango recently.

A lot of point-and-click fans have an aversion to keyboard controls because of how poorly they've been implemented in the past. I think as long as the mouse still functions as the primary input for interaction by pointing and clicking on stuff, it'd be nice to have the option to move the characters with wasd or the arrow keys.

Peasants Quest was good with the keyboard, but that's a slightly different genre.

Well, the space bar is used for pausing games in SBCG4AP. That could technically count as a keyboard function *shrugs*
