Episode 5 page?

When is there gonna be a preview, or even an episode description? I think a certain company forgot to update it's site...

But if there's no page in December, there's no episode in December.

P.S. Ten bucks it gets released on the week of Decthemberween.

Come to think of it... why hasn't it been officially annouced... exept for the one blog entry...
  • edited December 2008
Hopefully it will be up later today, I mean, it's 8:30 in the morning on the first day of the month, cut them a little slack.
  • edited December 2008
Telltale have never said that the fifth episode was coming in December. Around the site it was always 'TBA', whereas the other episodes had specific months named.
  • edited December 2008
Yeah, but they'll almost certainly do whatever they can to keep their monthly gaming model.
  • edited December 2008
Well, there probably really busy making the game. It will most likely go out with a non-pixelated bang.
  • edited December 2008
Still, it's very un-suspicious... Videlectrix strikes out against Telltale, Telltale never even annouces the final episode (or even the star of Dangeresque 3!)... yes, very, VERY un-suspicious...

I do wish Telltale would give us some kind of confirmation.
  • edited December 2008
On the trailer, it said a game monthly, so it should be December.
Give them some time and something'll probably come up.
I'm guessing Thursday this week or next week.

I hope Videlectrix doesn't invade the Telltale offices and edit their website.

I know, but still... I wanna know why they haven't done it yet, I mean, it's pretty common knowledge now, isn't it?

I can't stand this wait! I don't care if I have to wait until the week of Decemberween! I need a reason to buy Wii Point Cards each month!

Don't you mean every other month?

Wait, is Videletriks a real company?

    Yeah, shut up, kid!
    You just insulted the Thnikkaman!

    Wait a minute.

    You're not the Thnikka-
    He's not the Thnikka-
    You're not the Thnikka-

    You're not the Thnikkaman

The real Thnikkaman would have known Videlectrix is a real company.

They've got to be cramming to get this out with plenty of time to spare before Christmas so people can buy the whole done season as a gift, so I'm thinking another relatively early in the month release this time.

I'll take that bet. The 25th is a Thursday, and WiiWare gets released on Mondays in the US and I believe Fridays in Europe. So you pretty much owe me ten bucks.

    New wager:
I'll bet you 10 dollars that I win this bet.

I thought I was done with this spammy behavior. Oh well.
Well done on the coherence and explanation though.

No. The Videlectrix guys are the Brothers Chaps in fake moustaches.

I don't think it's coming in December. I'm thinking 8-bit is Enough will be TellTale's first triumphant entry into 2009! (But this could still be some residual bitterness left over from the original release date of Homestar Ruiner)

whenever it comes out, it'll be awesome. trogdor and stinkoman! what more could a guy ask for???
  • edited December 2008
I think this is just Telltale creating suspense. From what I hear, they do this a lot.
  • edited December 2008
Well, didn't they take last December off?
  • edited December 2008
Did they release Ice Station Santa last December? I forget. Anyways, there has to be some reason why Episode 5 has always been TBA...
  • edited December 2008
They released Ice station Santa in November, then released Moai better blues in January... Same with season one, episode one was Oct-Nov, and episode two was Jan-Feb. (There were 2 release dates for each season one episode, Gametap and word wide.)

Although I am almost certain that I have heard a few telltale-ists quote December for the release date (not to mention how the Ep. 5 preview still said "New episode every month!")... If it was not going to be December, we would have heard by now. While telltale most likely does not have any date specific info on when ep. 5 will be released, they would not leave us in the dark about the month they want to release it.

We are not deliberately being secretive about episode 5, just trying to get all our ducks in a row. The holidays are a very busy time!

We'll have some more details about 8-Bit Is Enough in the very near future. :)

woot. take your time with the games. then they will be more awesome.

You could list it as coming out in December on the games page though, right?

She said they'd have more details about it, not that it is coming out in December. Personally, I agree with deadlinejon that they should take more time on the games to make them more awesome. I'd rather have Ep. 5 in Feb. and have a glitch free episode (for a change) then to have it in December.
  • edited December 2008
Not me. I've never had any major problems with the glitches and I'm getting kinda bored now, but if they're gonna put in more content with that time I'll be happy, and since the only reason I'm bored now is because there hasn't been that much new info in a while, some more details would definitely be appreciated.

Telltale have never released a game-episode in December and I don't think they'll start now. Maybe the Dangeresque roomisodes are meant to fill the gap. Or maybe a Telltale employee could whip up a quick, silly game in AGS with crappy graphics and no voices to silence everybody who complains.
  • edited December 2008
Alright, time for wild speculation. I love this game. OK, I am wildly speculating a release for either the 22nd or 29th. The 22nd because it would make a great last minute holiday gift, and the 29th because when it comes out here, the month will end mid week, and then Europe will get it a month late, as this seems to be the standard now.

Hmmm... then why is it that we don't evewn have the Dangereque 3 symbol listed here yet, if you're just busy over the holidays... you weren't in mid-November, when it came out... right?

Another reason why Wiiware users have it made . We only get glithces in Ep. 1!...except for the floating, untouchable nunchuck gun in ep.4... I think..

We'll be releasing a batch of screenshots next week, but until then here are a few to tide you over (plus episode synopsis!)

As always, when we know for sure when the episode is due to come out, we'll announce a date. The holidays make predicting this one especially tricky, since everything more or less closes down for the last two weeks of the month. (And as we know from past experience, saying which month we think it'll be coming out and then turning out to be wrong just pisses everyone off. ;))

 The Dangeresque 3 graphic is on that page and has been since the game came out. Your page may be cached, try pressing shift-refresh to update the page.
