Prank Calls

Discuss any and all prank calls you have performed (or want to). I just call my local-ish EB Games and asked them why my Power Glove wouldn't work with my XBox 360. He then typed a bunch of stuff and told me their return policy.

I just called back and asked if they had any copies of MST3K for the Wii, and she said they would get them in about a week. Mystery Science Theater has NEVER BEEN MADE INTO A GAME.

    Or has it?
    It hasn't.
EDIT: I looked it up, and it actually has been. It's been made into an old PC text adventure.

Well, there is the 5-day Freakazoid prank call flood campaign, and the neverending Battletoads for the Wii flood that never disappoints!

My friend called a girl and said he was an FBI Agent.
He started rambling on about how aliens were hovering above his head.

The first time I played a prank call I panicked at the last second. They picked up and I just breathed heavily into the mouthpeice for two minutes before they hanged up.

I've done a few of those, although the best reaction I've ever got to it after asking for a preorder was, "Okay."

I don't know what to say, because I have a bit of a speech impediment problem.

    *Riiiiing!*

Operator: This is the telephone operator. How may I help you?

Me: Hello, operator. I would like to make a collect call to Mars.

Operator: Uh, okay... would you like to manually seek an access point to call, or would you like us to locate the nearest access point for you?

Me: Yeah, I would like to locate the nearest McDonald's re-

    *Operator gets rickrolled*

Best prank call ever. Too bad I never actually did it.

Not neccessarily a prank call, But I once sent about 5 text messages saying something like "50RRY WR0NG #", and each time I sent It it'd become less readible.

I have never done one, because normal people AND telephone operators have it equally hard, but when they call me, I say something nonsensical like, "No! I will never approve of the cheese having access to unlimited free Wi-Fi!" And hang up. Once when I was shooting a home film I pressured a friend to say "She's not here, but you may speak to my toenail." when some person kept calling my mom about a magazine she didn't want anymore.

I called Express Flooring once. Here's the conversation.
    *Ring!*
Guy: Hello, this is Express Flooring. How may I help you?
Me: Hi, I'd like to have my floors expressed.
    Guy: ...What?
    Me: BAHAHA! *Hangs up*

I don't even have the bravery to do so. I'm afraid I'd get a penalty or something.

Call from a pay phone. They'll never know. And calls to certain companies (like Express Flooring) are free!

I once sent an MP3 called 'Outlaw Star Theme' to my brother and Guess what.

Who here has ever rickrolled anyone on a phone say "I"!

If you don't know how to do this, just follow these three simple steps:

    1. Call the desired prank-ee, with earphones and a PC with the YouTube Rickroll* ready.

    2. Start a chat. Make it sound engaging so the prank-ee will listen very close.

    3. Once you run out of things to say, or when you think now would be a good time, click "play" on the video on your computer and hold up one of the earphones to the speaker on your phone and wait for the prank-ee to hang up.

    Have fun!

*You can also use an MP3 player.

I'm probably going to do this on the nearest pay phone next time I see one. I just bought Never Gonna Give You Up on iTunes just cause I liked the song. I never thought it'd be so useful :D

The Ring prank wold be awesome.

Someone hears a little girl on the line and she says "Seven days.", then hangs up.

That would actually be pretty mean.

Aye. I only played parts of it when I prank called a best buy, I was apparently looking for a game entitled "Never Gonna Give You Up" by game devoper "Never Gonna Let You Down" and that it's the one where you're never gonna run *continue song until the employee hangs up*.

My friend did something relatively similar...
Game; "How my life got flip turned upside-down"
    Developer; "Chocolate Rain"
Description of Cover Art; "Worse than Swearing worse than Calling Names"

My friend's cousins prank called this girl that they really didn't like and kept asking her what type of gangster she was. Every time she hung up, they'd call back and say something different. Finally they called her after about the 8th time she hung up and said, "DUDE STOP CALLING US, YOU STALKER!"
    It was pretty cruel, actually.

I Bill Nye the Science Guy'd my brother yesterday, but... Oh! I sent a Rick Roll to TTG a while ago, but then I realized that it was probably a phone tree.

I did two days ago when a company tried to call asking for my dad. I just did the first few bars, though, then I chickened out and hung up. >_<

If it gets out of hand, you do something completely random and/or unexpected, or just hang up.
