Pete and Carvers relationship

Always wondered what the relationship was between the 2 of these guys, especially before the whole cabin group escaped the howes store

I don't know why but i was always pictured pete and carver being somewhat friends, poker buddies or at least friendly acquaintances with occasional sarcastic insults thrown back and forth at each other before carver started to lose it more.

and who do you think would win in a fight?

I would think that Pete eventually came around to what Carver was actually like and became fearful of him. The people we've seen with Carver are either completely blind to how evil he is or too fearful to make a move against him. So this fear and wanting to protect Nick would be why he would follow the others out of the camp. Pete is a good man with strong values - he wouldn't want to stick around Carver for longer than he has to.

  • Pete seems like the type of guy who'd figure out what Carver is really like pretty fast.

  • pete had morals so I don't think he and Carver got along. I was confused I mean when I first met the cabin group it seems that Pete was the leader, luke did call him sir. but going into ep3 it seem back when escaping from that hell Luke was the leader and came up with a plan to escape. Maybe they met Nick and Pete later.

Pete did seem scared of Carver at the river, I don't know maybe the story was rewritten. All I can say is Pete has morals, him and Carver would never have got along.

  • Considering Pete trusted Clementine when others, even Luke didn't, I'd say he and Carver were probably complete opposites. One thing's for sure, Pete would've not thrown Reggie off the building like that.

  • Pete was too nice to stay under Carver's rule forever. I bet he was one of the people who backed Luke the most when Luke wanted to leave. Though I think, even though Pete would have very much opposed Carver, that Carver still held at least some measure of respect for him. Though, that's only if Carver was the one to shoot Pete and prevent him from turning in Episode 2, which we still don't know if he was.

Pete and Nick were at Carver's place with Luke and the others. Nick and Luke have actually known each other for twenty years, so Luke must have met Pete when they were much younger. I'm guessing once the ZA happened, they all came together, ended up in Carver's camp, and then broke out when they started disagreeing with the way he ran things. The "sir" could be a mix of Pete being a leader and just a general sign of respect.

I always wondered this too. I imagine Pete and Carver would get along for a very short time, right until Carver's true nature was exposed. I also got the feeling that Pete would have had no problem speaking up to Carver, although the way Bonnie tells it, it seems Luke was his biggest opposition. But, most of all, I wonder how Pete's death was if you save him in the river. I think Carver would put Pete down himself. Who knows what they said to each other?

  • Sorry, it been awhile since I played walking dead, I need to recap. Yes that what happens pretty much but I am still confuse who the leader was of the cabin group. It seem like it was Pete but Lee had the idea of escaping Carver's group.

  • Yeah, this is something I really wanted to see, I think they would of had an interesting chemistry...

  • I feel like both Pete and Luke were looked to as leaders. Pete was kind of like the glue that held everybody together and everybody listened to him. I think it was after Pete's death that Luke grew into that leadership role even more.
