so is everyone here zombie lovers?
You know ... are you into all things zombie?
Im not and far from it, I actualy find the genre a bit meh tbh, beside TWD ive played TLOU and state of decay and thats about it, I DL'ec the free dead rising on xbox and played it for about 10 mins got bored and deleted it..
I enjoyed state of decay for a while because of the game mechanic but that soon got old, im ma massive story guy and pretty much no matter the subject if it is told well im there, TLOU and TWD definitely being in that category.
Im very late coming to TWD as I didnt think it was my kinda game, but I only knew it was zombie related and I never took any more notice than that, it wasnt untill a buddy nearly fell over when I told him ive never played TWD and said it would be "right up my street" so here I am lol..
So are all you guys zombie nutts?
Comments
I've always dreamed and fantasized about the zombie apocalypse. Way before i got into TWD.
Nope never liked zombie games always found them boring as no matter how many times you shot them they kept on coming making all effort meaningless and boring even the movies cheesy and clique. I would never of bought TWD but for set of circumstances highly reviewed, I love point and click games(quantic dream) and the Vita has absolutely no good games for you if your not a fan of anime best decision I ever made. TWD the reason I liked it so much I learned it wasn't about the zombies but the people and how you survive and prosper in such extreme circumstances plus saving a little girl I always loved that base in a game like TLOU. Love the idea and story not so much the zombies but there cool though![:D :D](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
I only read TWD comics and play the game. But I'm zombie nuts! I love doing the stories about ZA, I also have a special plan for it (it's funny how I don't even have plan for my future life) and I love to do test that are telling me if I can survive in the apocalypse. Considering that I'm only twelve, I have pretty good chances. Ad somewhere deep inside, I want ZA to happen. Even though I know that it's stupid.
It's kinda funny because when I was 5 years old, my biggest fear was the zombies.
Yea pretty much my take on it, and while im not a zombie nut, I think TT did a grate a job with them..
Never been a serious fan of zombies, but TWD makes it more interesting. Both tv show and game and comic.
Never read the comics, I tried watching the show after the I played the game, but couldnt get past the people covered in makeup to look like zombies, turned me off tbh, it was like they got a bunch of zombie nutts and threw a load of lipstic around there eyes and mouth, they looked like they were living a dream tho lol..
i use to look forward to a zombie apocalypse, until i started the walking dead
Actually, I thought the whole zombie apocalypse theme was hella stupid before I played TWD. I stayed as far away from the TV show as I could as well, because dead people trying to eat you? How fucking boring.
And then I decided to try out the game, since I'd heard a lot of good stuff about it...and I was hooked. After finishing the game (and a proper mourning time), I found myself really into the whole thing. That's when I started the TV show and got hooked on that as well.
And now I would say that...yeah, I've become a fan of zombies. Or at least everything that surrounds it. You know, roughing it in the wild, trying to survive, keeping ourselves at the top of the food chain, rebuilding a destroyed society. It's all very intruiging to me now.
I'm not like those people who fervently wish for a zombie apocalypse to happen, though, mostly because I'm realistic and know we'd be dead embarrassingly fast. I do understand the desire for something interesting, something life-changing to happen. I'd just prefer that to be aliens landing on earth or a ground-breaking scientific discovery, rather than monsters trying to eat me.
I guess I do enjoy the zombie genre, I've been a fan of the classic movies, I've tried a few zombie based games but for me it's more about the post-apocalyptic world they have to survive in.. If this game was made about survivors of a nuclear war with the same characters and writers I think it would be just as good.
Not really. I like TWD because the zombies are more just a setup to tell a good story rather than the main focus.
All in all, I couldn't care less about the whole premise.
I never really liked zombie games. Movies were enough for me and that wasn't really great. The Walking Dead TV Show and the TWDG were both enough for me to get interested in the undead lore again.
It's Not about the zombies, It's the Story we love
I guess, I've played around 9 zombie games.
I wouldn't call myself a crazy zombie fan where i'll watch and play anything with zombies in it, but I did grow up on the Resident Evil titles [Code Veronica X being one of my old favorites] and if there is a zombie film on, depending how good the acting is, I'll watch it through.
Yeah. My girlfriend is a zombie. I love her.
No, I can't say that I am. The only games I played besides TWD was pretty much what everybody played, Left 4 dead and Dead Rising...as you can imagine, I wasn't too impressed. I do however, plan to get The Last of Us, mainly because of how good it was received(even though the game was released for quite some time). I also decided to get the TWD comics and watch the show, but both of them started to get repetitive....the comics really started to go downhill since issue 100, probably even sooner. And as for the tv show, the second half of the forth season was atrocious.
I did enjoy the early zombie flicks, though. Dawn of the dead,Night of the Living Dead, Day of the dead and 28 days later(purists will likely argue against this movie on the technicality that the “zombies” are not really the living dead, but rather virus-plagued monsters).
Does that plan involve stealing tanks? Or hijacking a submarine?
Me and my family bonded through zombie games/movies. Everytime a Resident Evil game came out, we would all sit in the basement and watch each other play it. Me, my brother and sister also watch zombie movies together when we find one we like.
So yeah, I'm into zombie stuff.
I seriously hated Zombie movies and games, but then I began watching The Walking Dead and ended up watching all 4 Seasons in about a week xd, thanks to The Walking Dead, I was influenced to try out Zombies games such as The Last of Us & The Walking Dead Season One, so I've got to thank Telltale Games for making the game, which is definitely in my top 10 list, at first I wasn't into Zombies, I was like "AAAAH!" and now I'm just like "Kill it with fire!"
Yes, I love zombies, and not only zombies but the whole infected genre.
I saw her standing there, but she was a zombie
No, actually.
I wasn't into zombies at all before I played TWD and started watching the show. Now I'm a real fan.
Great stories here guys, and its grate to we are not ALL 10 yr zombie nutts, and says a lot for the game to bringing in people outside of the genre. ?
When I was little, I was always put off on the zombie genre since t was so cliche. But as I grew older, I got into it more and more then I found this game and it filled my zombie loving needs.
That sounds gross, but you get it.
Oh I see what you mean. It's true when I look again at the episodes lol
Im a story lover.
House of the dead 2/3 was my first zombie game and one of the best RPG zombie games Dead Island. just loved kill'n em' then i grew bored and wanted a REAL story. The Walking Dead was waiting for me![:p :p](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
I've always loved the darkly comic nature of George Romero's zombie movies. TWD is the closest thing to a successor to that series, although it's got far less satirical than I'd personally want.
Less of a zombie lover, more of a Walking Dead lover. The Walking Dead franchise usually handles it's story of characters better than others. No offense to you, Mr. Romero.
YES
No, I started with the Sam and Max series. Basically, I am a semi-regular fan of Telltale Games. About the only game I have yet to buy is Tales of Monkey Island (I should, though).
I always loved reading/watching/writing zombie stories. And now when i play TWD im, hooked to it. #imgunnaeatyobrains
Not at all. Watch a few movies here and there but that's about it. Before TWD the only zombie game I played was the first Resident Evil on pc (scared the shit outta me). If it wasn't for YouTube I probably wouldn't of tried TWD.
Doublepost
Yea resi 1 was somthing else for its time.... I remember playing it the night before Xmas on ps1 and completely lost control of my bodily functions when that dog jumped through the window......( sorry for the spoilers lol )
Ever since The Walking Dead game, ive always wanted to be in a zombie apocalypses, It would be really interesting, but it would be really cool if you could be in a zombie apocalypses with Clementine, Lee, Kenny and the rest of the Walking Dead characters
I could say so (TLOU and TWDG for life) I'm not into driving games (hell, I suck) or like war games, but if it comes to killing zombies why the fuck not
To tell the truth. I have never been a big fan of Zombies, especially in both Movies and Video Games. Mostly because they all seem to be exactly the same. Zombies show up. Protagonist kills Zombies. Protagonist tries to be hero. Characters escape/dies.
The Walking Dead and The Last of Us got it right. Yes, there are Zombies/Infected, but it's about people, survival and ethics. That's why films like World War Z sucked. They are boring with no interesting characters.
I agree, man, while I do like the zombies in the films and the games, its the characters in the games that make them for me. Also, you should try reading the book that the World War Z movie was based off of, it's a really good book, focused on a bunch of survivors stories on how they survived the " Great Zombie War" as it was called. The book and the movie are not alike at all. They took the title from the book and put it on a crappy action movie.
